    Triage Checklist

    Confirm It's the Board, Not the Cable

    • Try a known-good USB-C cable on the same charger.
    • Try the same cable on a known-good wall brick.
    • Check the USB-C port for lint, fluff, or pocket debris.
    • Look for green corrosion or burn marks inside the port.
    • Wiggle the cable while plugged in. Charge cuts in and out?
    • Test wireless Qi charging. If it works, the port is dead.
    • Test the SIM tray in another phone to rule out a bad SIM.
    • Record a voice memo. Bottom mic dead means board failure.
    Install Notes

    Read Before You Open the Phone

    • Disconnect the battery flex first. Always.
    • Heat the back glass evenly to soften factory adhesive.
    • Remove the back glass with picks. Avoid the wireless coil flex.
    • All internal screws are Phillips PH00. Keep them sorted.
    • Lift EMI shields gently. They are thin and bend easily.
    • Replace the rear-glass adhesive seal after install.
    • Re-seat the SIM tray rubber gasket for water resistance.
    • Wear an ESD strap. Static will kill the new board instantly.
