S5200 Big Power Supply Management IC for Samsung Galaxy S10 / S10 Plus
Replacement PMIC for professional motherboard-level repair. Tested before shipping.
This is a BGA surface-mount IC. Replacement requires a hot air rework station, BGA reballing tools, and a stereo microscope. One mistake can permanently destroy the motherboard. Do not attempt without professional micro-soldering experience.
What the S5200 PMIC Does
The S5200 is the main Power Management IC on the S10 motherboard. It controls all power distribution across the device.
⚡ Voltage Regulation
Delivers regulated voltages to the Exynos SoC, display, memory, and cameras. Multiple buck/boost converters run simultaneously.
🔋 Battery Management
Works alongside the charging IC to manage power from the battery. Controls how current flows in and out of the cell.
🌡️ Thermal Management
Monitors device temperatures. Throttles power delivery when heat exceeds safe thresholds. Prevents thermal damage to the board.
🔄 Power Sequencing
Controls the startup and shutdown sequence. Ensures each component receives power in the correct order for safe boot.
🔌 Power Distribution
Distributes correct voltages across display, cameras, wireless chips, and peripherals via multiple LDO regulators.

- Always disconnect the battery before starting board work.
- Pre-heat the motherboard to 120–150°C to reduce thermal shock.
- Check coils and capacitors around the S5200 pads first. Shorted passives will damage a new IC.
- Use quality flux for clean BGA ball adhesion. Avoid bridging on fine-pitch pads.
- Test voltage rails after reflow. Confirm correct output before full reassembly.
- Use a DC power supply to check current draw before inserting the battery.
