Water-test before fitting your phone
Before first use, and again after any drop or visible wear, assemble the empty case with clean tissue inside and submerge it briefly in shallow water. Remove and dry the exterior before opening it. If the tissue is damp, do not install the phone. Inspect the sealing surfaces, frame, screen film, camera area and port covers for dirt, distortion, cracks or damage.
When fitting the phone, clean both case halves, seat the device evenly, press around the entire perimeter and close every port cover completely. A hair, grain of sand or misaligned edge can interrupt the seal. Check the seal before every planned water exposure.
Important water and impact limits
IP ratings are measured under controlled test conditions. Water resistance is not permanent and can reduce through wear, impact, contamination, temperature changes or incorrect assembly. Do not treat the case or phone as indestructible. Avoid hot water, steam, soap, chemicals, high-pressure jets, fast-moving water, deep diving and exposure beyond the stated 2-metre limit.
No case can guarantee that a phone will remain free from liquid, impact, screen or camera damage. Back up important data and use sensible care around water. After exposure, rinse the closed case with fresh water when appropriate, dry the outside completely and open it only in a dry area.
Touch, fingerprint, S Pen and charging guidance
The built-in PET film is designed for touch sensitivity, but Samsung notes that some third-party protective films can affect display, touch or fingerprint operation. Test touch, fingerprint recognition and S Pen input after fitting. Re-registering fingerprints after installation may help, but performance is not guaranteed.
Use only a compatible wireless charger and centre the phone carefully. Charging can be slower or less consistent through a protective enclosure. Remove the phone from the case if charging repeatedly disconnects or either device becomes unusually warm. MagSafe compatibility is not claimed for this model. A charger, magnetic ring, wallet, battery pack and car mount are not included.
