Fit and installation
- Place the Apple Watch face down on a clean, soft surface.
- Hold the band release button and slide the existing band out sideways.
- Check that the new connector is oriented correctly, then slide it into the band channel until it seats and locks.
- Gently move the connector side to side. If it is not secure, remove it and reinsert it; never force a band into the slot.
- Wrap the band around the wrist and press the hook-and-loop surfaces together at a comfortable tension.
Apple advises wearing a watch snugly but not too tightly, with room for skin to breathe. A correct fit helps the rear sensors maintain contact. Adjust or remove the band if you notice discomfort, irritation, numbness or pressure marks.
Care and everyday use
Keep the band, watch and skin clean and dry, especially after exercise or exposure to sweat, soap, sunscreen, lotions or other liquids. Wipe the band gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth when needed, then allow it to air-dry completely before wearing it again. Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, high heat or a tumble dryer.
