How does this lanyard attach to my phone?+
A small gasket sits between your phone body and your case, with a tether loop that pokes out through the charging-port cut-out on the case. The metal lobster hook on the rope clips to that loop. No glue, no tools, no marks on your phone — and the port stays clear so you can charge normally.
Will it block my charging port?+
No. The metal hook is shaped to sit beside the port, not in it. USB-C and Lightning cables plug in normally with the lanyard still attached. You never have to remove the strap to charge your phone.
Why doesn't it work with bumper or half-coverage cases?+
The attachment works because the case clamps the gasket loop in place around the port opening. A bumper-style or half-coverage case has no solid bottom edge framing the port — the loop has nothing to anchor against. Only full-coverage cases (silicone, hard PC, TPU hybrids, folio, MagSafe full-cover, rugged) provide the necessary frame.
How do I check if my case is compatible?+
Flip your case upside down and look at the bottom edge. If you see a clean rectangular or oval cut-out for the charging port surrounded by case material on all four sides, this lanyard will work. If the bottom is open, broken or the port sits exposed in fresh air, it will not.
8 mm vs 6 mm — which should I pick?+
Pick 8 mm for bolder visibility, better all-day comfort and heavier 6.7-inch phones — the wider rope spreads weight better across your shoulder. Pick 6 mm for a slimmer, more discreet look or smaller phones. Both share the same gasket attachment, metal hook and polyester weave construction.
