    How To Use — Safe Bench Workflow

    Follow this order. Skipping a step is the top cause of a bad flux job.

    Step 1 — Stir Before Use

    Activators can settle on the shelf. Stir the jar before each session.

    Step 2 — Clean The Pads

    Wipe the joint with IPA and a lint-free swab. No-clean flux cannot fix dirt.

    Step 3 — Apply A Small Dab

    A pinhead dot suits one SMD pad. Too much causes bridging.

    Step 4 — Set Your Heat

    Iron 320-360°C for leaded. Use 360-400°C for lead-free.

    Step 5 — Reflow The Joint

    Apply heat and watch the flux activate. It works as the solder melts.

    Step 6 — Optional Final Wipe

    For refurb resale a quick IPA wipe lifts any film. It is not required for function.

    What does halogen-free actually mean?+
    It means the flux has no chloride and no bromide activators. Halide salts can leave corrosive residue. This formula uses a halogen-free activator system. Very little corrosive residue is left behind.
    Do I really not need to clean the board after?+
    For function, no cleaning is needed. The residue is low and non-corrosive. For cosmetics, many techs still wipe with IPA. That step is optional on refurb resale jobs.
    Is it the same as solder paste?+
    No. Solder paste is flux mixed with tiny solder spheres. This Qianli product is flux only. Pair it with separate solder wire when you need solder.
    What temperature should my iron be set to?+
