    Run these 4 checks before ordering. Two minutes saves a wasted return.

    Test 1 — Rear Camera Check

    Open Camera. Switch to rear lens. If rear works, the issue is isolated to the front module.

    Test 2 — Restart and Force Close

    Force close the Camera app. Restart the phone. If still black, software is ruled out.

    Test 3 — Face ID Setup

    Settings → Face ID. If "Move iPhone Lower" hangs, the TrueDepth array is faulty.

    Test 4 — Third-Party App

    Open Instagram or Snapchat selfie. Same fault confirms hardware, not the iOS Camera app.

    Will this fit my iPhone?+
    It fits the standard iPhone 14 (notch model) with A-numbers A2882, A2649, A2881, A2884 or A2883. Check Settings → General → About to confirm yours.
    Does it fit iPhone 14 Plus, Pro or Pro Max?+
    No. The 14 Plus uses a 6.7-inch chassis. The Pro and Pro Max use a Dynamic Island sensor housing. This module is iPhone 14 (notch) only.
    Will Face ID still work after this swap?+
    No. Face ID will be disabled after replacing the front TrueDepth module on iPhone 14. Apple pairs the original module to the logic board at the factory and only Apple service can restore Face ID. Selfie photos, FaceTime video and autofocus still work normally once flashed with i4Tools.
    Why do I need to flash with i4Tools?+
    iOS pairs the front camera to the logic board. After fitting a new module run i4Tools (爱思助手) to flash the pairing. Without it autofocus and FaceTime may glitch.
    What does PULL-A grade mean?+
    PULL-A means professionally pulled from a working donor iPhone 14. The TrueDepth module is genuine Apple and bench-tested before resale.
    How do I confirm the front camera is faulty?+
    Open Camera and switch to selfie. If you see black or blur while the rear works fine, the front module is the issue. A restart and force-close rule out software.
    What tools do I need?+
    A pentalobe driver to open the chassis, a tri-point Y000 for the speaker bracket, plastic spudgers, ESD-safe tweezers and a heat pad. Tools are not included.
    Can I install it myself?+
    Only if you are skilled and own a heat pad. The screen seal must be reset and the i4Tools pairing must be flashed. Pro install is strongly advised.
    Can the Brisbane store fit it for me?+
    Yes. Drop in to our Forest Lake store. Email ahead to confirm your model and book bench time for the install and the i4Tools flash.
    What is the warranty?+
