    Symptoms This Sensor Rail Fixes

A worn or damaged console sensor rail is the most common cause of these Switch faults:

    Joy-Con Not Detected

Console shows controller as missing even when slid on.

    Joy-Con Won't Charge

Battery stays flat even when attached to a powered console.

    Loose or Wobbly Fit

Joy-Con slides on but rattles in handheld mode.

    Mid-Game Disconnect

Controller drops out under movement or bumps.

    Won't Lock In Place

Latch fails so Joy-Con slides off freely.

    Sync Errors / SL+SR Faults

SL or SR shoulder buttons not registering through the rail.

    Diagnose Before You Order

Confirm the fault is the console rail, not the Joy-Con itself. Two-minute swap test:

    1. Slide a known-good Joy-Con of the same side onto the faulty rail.
    2. If the good Joy-Con also fails, the console rail is the cause. Order this part.
    3. If the good Joy-Con works fine, the fault sits inside the original Joy-Con.
    4. Test both left and right separately. They are independent rails on different flex cables.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Will this rail fit my Switch V1 and V2?+
Yes. The HAC-001 (2017) and HAC-001(-01) V2 (2019) use the same sensor rail design. This pair fits both consoles. It does not fit the Switch OLED or Switch Lite.
How do I know my Joy-Con problem is the rail?+
Try a different Joy-Con of the same side. If the second one also fails, the console rail is the cause. If the second one works fine, the fault sits inside the original Joy-Con.
Is this an official Nintendo part?+
These are A-grade pulls. Original rails harvested from genuine Switch consoles by our Brisbane lab. Each pair is continuity-tested before dispatch.
Does the pair include both left and right rails?+
Yes. You receive one left console rail and one right console rail. Each is on its own flex cable and replaces independently.
    What tools do I need?+
Use a Y00 tri-wing driver for the four rear panel screws. Use a PH00 Phillips driver for the internal screws. A plastic spudger lifts the flex connector.
How long does the repair take?+
Allow 30 to 60 minutes per rail at intermediate skill level. No micro-soldering is needed — the rail simply unplugs and unscrews.
    Will this fix a Joy-Con that won't charge?+
Yes if the swap test confirms the console rail is the fault. The rail's flex cable carries the charging current. A worn rail blocks that current.
Does this fit Switch OLED or Switch Lite?+
No. The OLED uses a different rail with a different connector. The Lite has fixed Joy-Cons and no rails. Browse our Switch OLED parts for that fitment.
How fast do you ship in Australia?+
All orders ship from Brisbane in 2 to 4 business days. We use tracked Australia Post or courier delivery.
    What warranty do you offer?+
Pull rails carry a 7-day DOA cover from the date of delivery. Test the rail before reassembly. Damage from incorrect installation is not covered.
