    Before You Order — Quick Triage Check

    A bad DC-IN board is the most common charging fault on the M2 Air. Confirm it is the port and not the cable, brick or battery.

    1. Try a known-good MagSafe 3 cable

    Borrow another working USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable.

    2. Try a different USB-C charger

    Use a 30W or higher Apple-spec brick.

    3. Try the USB-C ports as backup

    If USB-C charges but MagSafe does not, the DC-IN is the fault.

    4. Reset the SMC

    Apple Silicon resets via a full shutdown and 30-second wait.

    5. Inspect the port

    Look for bent pins, burn marks or debris.

    6. Confirm with System Report

    Power section shows charger detected only when the port works.

    Installation — Pro Repair Recommended

    ⚠️ Disconnect the battery before any other connector. A live logic board will short the new DC-IN board.

    Step 1 — Power Off

    Shut down. Unplug the MagSafe cable.

    Step 2 — Open the Bottom Case

    Use a P5 pentalobe driver for the case screws.

    Step 3 — Disconnect the Battery

    Lift the battery flex from the logic board first.

    Step 4 — Release the DC-IN Flex

    Pop the connector and remove the board screws.

    Step 5 — Fit the New Board

    Seat into the chassis. Re-fit the screws by hand first.

    Step 6 — Test Before Closing

    Reconnect battery. Plug in MagSafe. Confirm LED.

    Will this fit my MacBook Air M2?+
    It fits the 13.6-inch MacBook Air with model number A2681 from 2022. Click the Apple menu and choose About This Mac to confirm yours.
    Will it fit a MacBook Air M1 or M3?+
    No. The M1 Air (A2337) has no MagSafe port. The M3 Air (A3113) uses a different board revision. This part is A2681 only.
    Will it fit the 15-inch MacBook Air?+
    No. The 15-inch Air (A2941) has a different chassis and DC-IN board. Order the A2941 part instead.
    What does PULL-A grade mean?+
    PULL-A is the top grade of pulled parts. It is a genuine Apple board removed from a working A2681 unit. Electrical performance matches new.
    Does it include the MagSafe cable?+
    No. You receive the DC-IN port board with its flex cable only. Re-use your existing MagSafe 3 charger cable.
    How do I know the port is the fault?+
    Try a known-good MagSafe cable and brick. If USB-C charging works but MagSafe does not, the DC-IN board is the cause.
    Can I install it myself?+
    Yes if you have the right tools. You need a P5 pentalobe driver, a Torx T5 driver, plastic spudgers and ESD safety. Pro install is recommended.
