Keyboard Rivet Screws for MacBook Pro 13 / 15 / 16 & MacBook Air 13 — 50-Piece Repair Set
Replacement keyboard backplate rivet screws for butterfly and Magic Keyboard MacBooks. Apple rivets the keyboard to the top case at the factory — these original rivets get destroyed during removal. Use these OEM-spec replacement rivet screws to reinstall the keyboard cleanly after a sticky-key repair, keyboard swap or top-case repair. Covers Pro 13/15/16 (2016-2020) and Air 13 (2018-2020).

⚠️ Why You Need These for Any MacBook Keyboard Repair
Apple uses dozens of tiny one-shot rivets to hold the keyboard backplate to the top case. The rivets cannot be reused once removed.
Factory rivets must be drilled out to access the keyboard. Once removed, they're destroyed and cannot go back in. Replacement screws are mandatory for reassembly.
Replacing a sticky butterfly key, dead key or full keyboard? You'll lose 50 to 80 rivets per teardown. Stock spares before you start.
Even pulling the top case for trackpad or battery work disturbs the keyboard rivets on most models. Always have replacement screws to hand.
Cleaning corrosion under the keyboard? Removing the keyboard means destroying the originals. Fresh hardware is the only way to put it all back together.
A full top case assembly costs hundreds. A 50-pack of rivet screws lets you keep using the original top case after the keyboard is replaced.
A typical butterfly keyboard uses 60+ rivets — order more than one set if you want spares for the inevitable dropped screws.
📦 What You Get in the 50-Pack
A single anti-static pack of 50 OEM-spec keyboard rivet screws sized for the Apple butterfly and Magic Keyboard backplate fixings on the listed MacBook models.
Identical sizing — all 50 are the same standard MacBook keyboard backplate rivet screw. No mixed-size pack to sort through.
Sealed in an ESD-safe pouch. Reseal between jobs to keep the small parts safe and findable in your workshop.
Cut to the same thread pitch and head depth as Apple's factory hardware. Seats flush, holds the keyboard tight, no wobble.
Corrosion-resistant plating matched to the original Apple hardware finish. No rust spots inside the top case.
Note: Tools, drill bits, screwdrivers and adhesive are not included. Pair with a Pentalobe P5 + Tri-Point Y000 driver set for a full keyboard repair.

🔧 Installation Overview
Used at the reassembly stage of any MacBook keyboard or top case repair. Treat as a finishing step, not the start.
With the top case open, drill the heads off each Apple factory rivet using a 0.9mm drill bit. Vacuum the swarf as you go.
Carefully lift the old keyboard backplate clear. Tap out the leftover rivet shanks from the underside.
Position the new keyboard or refurbished assembly into the top case recess. Align all rivet holes against the backplate.
Place each replacement rivet screw into a factory hole. Use tweezers to start them — they are very small.
Use a Tri-Point Y000 precision driver. Snug, do not over-torque. Work in a star pattern across the keyboard for even pressure.
Reassemble the MacBook and run a key test in macOS. Confirm every key registers cleanly before declaring the job done.
⚠️ Highly recommended: Have a professional technician perform this repair. Drilling near the keyboard backplate carries risk of damage to the trackpad ribbon and battery. Walk-in service available at our Forest Lake counter.
👥 Who This Hardware Set Is For
Daily MacBook keyboard repairs need bulk rivet stock. The 50-pack covers a single repair with spares.
Butterfly keyboards stick, repeat keys, or drop keys entirely. These rivet screws let you swap the keyboard without buying a full top case.
Bringing used MacBooks back to retail condition. Fresh rivet hardware after every keyboard or top case touch-up.
Spilled drinks find their way under the keyboard. Cleaning corrosion needs the keyboard out and back in — that means new rivets.
MacBook fleets running through warranty? Stock rivet packs to handle out-of-warranty keyboard failures in-house.
Done a MacBook teardown before? You already know the rivets get destroyed. Have spares before you open the lid.
