Important — IC Chip Transfer Required
This BQ7 Incell LCD requires the technician to transfer the original display IC chip onto this new assembly. The chip lifts from the old broken screen. It sits on a small flex with a black square near the connector. Without the IC chip transfer, the iPhone shows "Unable to verify display" warnings. True Tone also disappears after a non-transferred swap.
Hot-air station, microscope and flux work needed. The IC chip flex is desoldered from the original and reflowed onto this new assembly.
Not a DIY-friendly install. Bring the part and your iPhone to a microsoldering shop. Most repair shops charge a small bench fee for the chip transfer.
Both functions return after a successful chip transfer. The chip carries the panel calibration data iOS reads on every boot.
A microsoldering bench (hot-air station, microscope, flux) is required for the IC chip transfer.
Why BQ7 Incell LCD Beats Cheap Aftermarket
Most aftermarket iPhone 16e LCDs are bottom-bin IQ5 or no-name panels. Dead zones, ghost touch, washed colour, weak backlight. BQ7 sits at the top of the LCD aftermarket grade ladder. The result looks and feels close to OEM. The price stays a fraction of factory OLED.
LCD uses a steady LED backlight. No PWM flicker. Customers with eye strain or migraines on OLED prefer this build.
Significantly less than Soft OLED or Hard OLED equivalents. Great for resale flips, school phones or trade-in builds.
Capacitive multi-touch glass digitiser. Smooth response across the panel. No dead zones, no ghost touch.
Notch cutout matches OEM exactly. Transfer the original earpiece, proximity sensor and front camera flex. Face ID returns to full function.
Vendor-confirmed 12-month replacement warranty. Covers manufacturing defects on the panel and digitiser. Excludes physical damage.
Every panel is tested before dispatch. Pixels checked, touch swept, backlight verified. No dead-on-arrival units.
iPhone 16e Screen Problems This LCD Fixes
Spotting any of these issues on your iPhone 16e? Time to swap the display assembly. This BQ7 Incell LCD resolves all of these faults.
Spider-web or shattered glass face. Touch may still work but glass shards risk fingers.
Touch ignores input or registers ghost taps with no finger present. Digitiser layer is damaged.
Display will not light up. Phone still rings and vibrates. Panel or backlight has failed.
Black dots, vertical lines or coloured bars on the panel. Common after a hard drop on concrete.
Faint static image left on the original OLED. LCD swap eliminates burn-in completely going forward.
Original OLED uses PWM dimming below 50 percent brightness. Some users get headaches. LCD removes PWM entirely.
BQ7 Incell LCD — Built-In Features
Sits above IQ7, IQ5 and AQ7 in the LCD grade ladder. Tightest pixel tolerances, highest backlight uniformity.
Steady LED backlight with no pulse-width modulation. Comfortable for PWM-sensitive eyes and headache-prone users.
Bonded multi-touch digitiser. Smooth response across the full 6.1-inch panel. No dead zones, no ghost touch.
Matches OEM resolution exactly. iOS renders at native pixel density. No scaling artefacts.
Pixel-perfect notch cutout for the TrueDepth camera array. Face ID returns after sensor flex transfer.
Steel back plate already mounted on the assembly. No extra screws or shields to transfer.
Every panel is tested before dispatch. Pixels checked, touch swept, backlight verified. No dead-on-arrival units.
Sealed in foam-lined rigid box. Glass face protected from impact. Connectors held flat against transit damage.
Honest Truth — iPhone 16e Originally Ships With Soft OLED
Apple builds iPhone 16e with a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display. This BQ7 is an aftermarket Incell LCD. The trade-off is real and worth knowing before you buy.
No pulse-width modulation flicker. Comfortable for eye-strain and migraine-prone users. OLED dims by flickering pixels.
Costs significantly less than aftermarket OLED. Ideal for resale phones, school phones or budget repairs.
LCD pixels never suffer burn-in. Static UI elements like the status bar will never ghost on this panel.
OLED self-emissive pixels deliver true blacks. LCD blacks are dark grey because the backlight cannot fully switch off.
Original OLED hits 1200 nits peak HDR. This LCD hits around 500 nits. OLED looks brighter in direct sunlight.
Original OLED covers the P3 wide colour gamut. LCD covers standard sRGB. HDR content looks more vivid on OLED.
Want OEM-equivalent OLED look-and-feel and HDR brightness? Pick the BQ7 Soft OLED iPhone 16e variant instead.
Who This Incell LCD Is Built For
Cost-conscious budget tier for cash-strapped customers. Higher margin per repair than OEM-grade OLED swaps.
Restore tradeins for Marketplace and Gumtree resale. Lower cost in keeps the resale margin healthy.
Buyers who get headaches or eye strain on factory OLED. The LCD backlight removes PWM flicker entirely.
High-risk-of-damage builds where a cheaper screen makes future drops less painful on the wallet.

IC Chip Transfer Install — 7 Steps
Power off the iPhone 16e. Remove the two P2 pentalobe screws beside the USB-C port.
Soften the adhesive with a heat pad. Use a suction cup and opening pick from the right side.
Remove the metal cover plates. Disconnect battery first. Then disconnect the three display flex connectors.
Heat the IC flex with hot air. Lift the chip from the original screen. Reflow it onto the new BQ7 assembly under a microscope.
Carefully transfer the earpiece speaker, proximity sensor and front camera flex from the original screen.
Reconnect display flex and battery. Power on. Test display, touch, Face ID, True Tone and earpiece. Then reseal.
Apply fresh waterproof adhesive strips. Press the screen home. Refit pentalobe screws. Done.
Test first. Always verify the screen and IC chip transfer work before reapplying adhesive. Discovering a fault after sealing means re-opening the phone.
