    After fitting a new screen, the Pixel 9 fingerprint sensor must be recalibrated. This is a standard step โ€” not a fault.

    Method 1 โ€” Auto-Calibration

    Place the phone flat on a surface after install. Do not touch the screen during first boot. The Pixel 9 may calibrate the sensor automatically.

    Method 2 โ€” Google Calibration Tool

    Visit pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps in Chrome. Boot into Fastboot mode. Connect via USB-C and follow the on-screen prompts.

    โš ๏ธ Remove all screen protectors before first boot. The sensor needs a bare screen to calibrate.

    โš ๏ธ IP68 Water Resistance Notice

    The Google Pixel 9 is rated IP68. Opening the phone breaks the original waterproof seal. Full IP68 water resistance cannot be restored after a screen replacement. Avoid exposing the phone to water after repair.

    Does this include the frame and fingerprint sensor?
    Yes. This is a complete assembly. The bezel frame is pre-fitted. The under-display fingerprint sensor is also pre-installed. You do not need to transfer any parts from your old screen. Fit and then calibrate the sensor.
    What Pixel 9 models does this screen fit?
    This fits the standard Google Pixel 9 in Black. Model numbers G2YBB, GUR25, and G1B60 are all compatible. It does not fit the Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, or 9 Pro Fold. Those are larger phones with different screens.
    Why does the fingerprint sensor need calibration after install?
    The Pixel 9 uses an under-display optical sensor. It must align with the new display layer after fitting. Calibration re-links the sensor to the screen. This is a normal step โ€” not a defect. If auto-calibration fails, use Google's tool at pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps via Chrome.
    Will the screen quality match the original?
    Yes. This is a premium Actua OLED panel. Brightness, colour accuracy, and touch response match the original. The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate is fully supported. You should not notice any quality difference after fitting.
    Will my Pixel 9 still be waterproof after a screen repair?
    No. Opening the Pixel 9 breaks the original IP68 waterproof seal. Full water resistance cannot be restored after repair. Avoid exposing the phone to water once the screen has been replaced. This applies to all screen repairs.
    Can I install this screen myself?
    It is possible with the right tools and experience. You need a heat gun, suction cup, opening picks, and a T3 Torx screwdriver. The display cable is at the bottom-right corner and tears easily if forced. We strongly recommend professional installation. DIY damage is not covered by warranty.
    What does the 12-month warranty cover?
    The warranty covers display and touch defects in the screen itself. Dead pixels, flickering, and touch failures are included. Physical damage from drops, water, or DIY installation errors is not covered. Warranty starts on the date of purchase.
    Is every screen tested before dispatch?
    Yes. Every screen is factory tested before it leaves our Brisbane warehouse. Display quality, colour accuracy, and touch response are all verified. Dead on arrival is extremely rare. Contact us right away if your screen is not working on arrival.
    How long does shipping take?
    We dispatch in 2-4 business days. Brisbane metro arrives 1-2 days after dispatch. Sydney and Melbourne take 2-4 days. Regional areas take 3-5 days. Free store collection is available at our Forest Lake store.
