Run these 4 checks before ordering. Two minutes saves a wasted return.
Volume Up, Volume Down, then hold Side button until the Apple logo shows. If still black, software is ruled out.
Plug in. If the phone vibrates or chimes but the panel stays dark, the OLED is dead.
Use AirPlay or QuickTime. If the mirrored image is clean the logic board is fine — only the display has failed.
Open Notes. Drag a finger slowly across the screen. Dead zones confirm a digitiser fault.

Installation — Pro Repair Strongly Advised
⚠️ Repair part only. This is a bare display assembly for installation by a qualified iPhone technician. Not a complete iPhone.
🔥 Specialist tools required. Heat tool, suction lifter, picks, pentalobe and tri-point screwdrivers, plastic spudgers. Local pickup and pro fitment available at Shop 3A, 152 Woogaroo St, Forest Lake QLD 4078.
Shut down. Remove two pentalobe screws beside the Lightning port.
Warm the front bezel. Use a suction cup and pick to slice the perimeter adhesive.
Remove tri-point screen flex bracket, then disconnect battery before display flex.
Transfer the earpiece speaker and Face ID flex bracket to the new BQ7 panel.
Reconnect display, digitiser and Face ID flexes. Power test before sealing.
Apply fresh perimeter adhesive. Confirm True Tone in Settings → Display & Brightness.
