What's the difference between Soft OLED and Incell LCD?
Soft OLED is the premium option. It uses organic LEDs that light up on their own. Each pixel makes its own light. When a pixel is black, it turns off. This gives you true black colors. LCD can't do this. LCD needs a backlight that's always on. Soft OLED also bends a little. This makes it thinner and lighter. Colors look more vivid on OLED. Contrast is much higher too. Dark scenes in movies look amazing. The display pops more overall. OLED costs more than LCD. But you get closer to original quality. If you want the best look, choose OLED. If budget matters more, LCD works fine. Both options work well for everyday use.
Will this screen work with my iPhone 11 Pro Max?
Yes. This screen fits all iPhone 11 Pro Max models. That includes A2161, A2220, and A2218. Check your model number in Settings. Go to General, then About. The model number shows there. What is IC chip transfer?
IC chip transfer moves your old chip to the new screen. The chip sits on the flex cable. It stores key data for Face ID. It also stores True Tone data. If you don't transfer the chip, Face ID won't work. You may see a warning message too. The phone still works fine otherwise. But Face ID needs that chip. A tech uses heat to remove the chip. Then they solder it onto the new screen. This takes skill and special tools. Don't try this at home. One wrong move can ruin the chip. Then Face ID is gone for good. Can I install this OLED screen myself?
We don't suggest DIY for this repair. OLED flex cables are even more delicate than LCD. One wrong move can tear them. Then the screen is dead. You also need to move the IC chip. That needs a heat gun and soldering iron. Most people don't have those tools. Even if you do, it takes practice. The Face ID camera is fragile too. It clips onto tiny connectors. Break one and Face ID stops working. If you're a trained tech, you can do this. But home repairs often go wrong. We see botched jobs every week. People come in with broken cables. Does OLED save battery life?
Yes. OLED can help save battery. Each pixel makes its own light. When a pixel shows black, it turns off. That means zero power used. Dark mode really helps with OLED. Your phone uses less battery. Apps with dark themes save power too. LCD can't do this trick. LCD has a backlight always on. Even black screens use power on LCD. The savings depend on how you use it. Will Face ID still work after install?
Face ID can work after install. But it needs the IC chip transfer. That chip holds your Face ID data. If you don't move the chip, Face ID stops. You'll see a warning in settings. The rest of the phone works fine. Just no face unlock. Some people don't mind that. They use passcode instead. But most want Face ID working. To keep it, you need a tech.
