ℹ️ Why These Three Models Share One Screen
Motorola launched the G85 and Edge 50 Fusion on the same platform in 2024. Both use a 6.67-inch curved pOLED panel at the same resolution and size. The S50 Neo is a regional rebrand of the G85. All three carry the same display connector. Parts suppliers list them under a single SKU.
The Edge 50 Fusion runs at 144Hz. The G85 and S50 Neo run at 120Hz. This difference is handled by the phone's firmware — not the panel itself. Your replacement screen will operate at the rate your phone is designed for.

Is this screen compatible with my Motorola model?
This assembly fits the Moto G85 (XT2427-3 / XT2427-4), the Edge 50 Fusion (XT2429-1 / XT2429-2), and the S50 Neo (XT2427-4). Check your model number first. Go to Settings → About Phone. Your model starts with XT. Match it to the compatible models list above before ordering.
Do the G85 and Edge 50 Fusion really share the same screen?
Yes. Both phones launched in July 2024 on the same hardware base. The physical display panel is identical — 6.67-inch pOLED at 1080×2400 with the same connector and same frame dimensions. Multiple repair suppliers list a single part number for both. The firmware controls the refresh rate difference — not the panel itself.
Will the in-display fingerprint sensor still work after replacement?
Yes. The BQ7 OLED assembly supports in-display optical fingerprint unlock. The optical sensor is part of the screen layer. As long as the fingerprint flex cable is correctly reconnected during installation, the sensor functions normally. Re-enrol your fingerprints after the repair is complete.
Is this a genuine Motorola screen?
No. This is a BQ7 aftermarket replacement assembly. BQ7 is a professional-grade repair parts manufacturer. It is not a Motorola OEM part. It is designed to meet or exceed the original display specifications. Every unit is pre-tested before dispatch to confirm it is fully functional.
What is included in the assembly?
The assembly includes the OLED display panel, the touch digitizer, and the front frame — all pre-bonded together. You do not need to bond the panel to the digitizer separately. The unit arrives ready to install. No tools or adhesive are included. You will need heat, pry tools, and screwdrivers for the repair.
Does professional installation affect the warranty?
Yes — professional installation is required to keep the 12-month warranty valid. DIY installation is at your own risk. Is the Edge 50 Neo screen also compatible?
No. The Edge 50 Neo has a 6.36-inch screen with a different resolution (1256×2760). It is physically smaller than the panel in this assembly. Installing this part into an Edge 50 Neo will not work — the dimensions and connector do not match. Check your exact model number before ordering.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need a heat gun or heating pad (70–80°C), plastic pry picks, a suction cup, Phillips and Torx screwdrivers, and tweezers for the flex cables. An ESD mat and wrist strap are recommended to protect components. Attempting this repair without proper tooling risks damaging the new screen.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects — dead pixels, touch failure, display uniformity issues, and backlight faults appearing after professional installation.
