📱 Compatibility — Motorola Moto Razr 60 (2025) Inner Display

    ✅ FITS — Motorola Moto Razr 60 (2025)

XT2551 series — global Razr 60 variants (released April 2025)

Display targeted: Inner main foldable 6.9″ pOLED

    Refresh rate: 120Hz LTPO

Includes: Foldable OLED panel, capacitive multi-touch digitiser, ultra-thin protective layer, hinge-side display flex tail

    ❌ DOES NOT FIT

Razr 60 outer 3.6″ cover screen — separate part, ordered separately

Razr 60 Ultra (2025) — different chassis, different inner panel size and flex pinout

Razr 50 / Razr 50 Ultra (2024) — previous generation, different inner panel

    Razr 40 / Razr 40 Ultra (2023) — older generation, incompatible flex

Original Razr (2019/2020) and Razr 5G (2020) — completely different design

Any non-foldable Motorola model — Edge, G, Moto Pro, etc

Verify your model number under Settings → About Phone → Model Number before ordering. The Razr 60 reads as XT2551-x (suffix varies by region).

    🎯 The BQ7 OLED Difference

BQ7 is the top-tier aftermarket grade for foldable smartphone displays — a real LTPO pOLED panel with a real foldable substrate, not a flat OLED retrofitted into a flip chassis. Built specifically for the Razr 60 inner display assembly with the correct hinge-side flex.

    📐

    Genuine Foldable pOLED

Real plastic OLED substrate engineered to bend at the Razr 60 hinge. Not a glass OLED forced into a flip — the panel actually folds.

    120Hz LTPO Refresh

Smooth 120Hz scrolling and animation, with LTPO backplane for power-efficient frame-rate scaling on supported content.

    🌈

    HDR10+ Support

Wide colour gamut and HDR10+ tone-mapping retained. Vivid contrast and deep true-black OLED behaviour.

    👆

    Capacitive Multi-Touch

High-sensitivity multi-touch digitiser bonded into the display stack. Smooth gestures, accurate taps, fast scroll tracking.

    🛡️

    Pre-Fitted UTG Layer

Ultra-thin protective layer arrives pre-fitted on the OLED — no separate film install required. Do not peel during installation.

    🧪

    Per-Panel QC

Every BQ7 OLED is electrically + visually tested before shipping — pixel scan, touch grid sweep, brightness uniformity check, hinge flex continuity.

💎 BQ7 Aftermarket vs OEM vs Generic — Honest Comparison

Three buying options exist for a Razr 60 inner foldable replacement. Here's what each one really delivers.

    ✅ BQ7 Aftermarket (This Product)

Panel: Foldable pOLED, real LTPO backplane

    Refresh: 120Hz

    HDR10+: Yes

    UTG layer: Pre-fitted

    QC: Per-panel test

    Warranty: 12 months

    📦 OEM Service Part (Reference)

    Panel: Original Motorola foldable pOLED

    Refresh: 120Hz

    HDR10+: Yes

    UTG layer: Pre-fitted

    QC: Factory grade

    Warranty: Per Motorola service terms

    ⚠️ Generic No-Name Aftermarket

    Panel: Often unbranded, variable substrate

    Refresh: May cap at 60Hz

    HDR10+: Often dropped

UTG layer: Quality varies — may delaminate

    QC: Batch sample only

    Warranty: Often DOA only

Bottom line: BQ7 sits between OEM service cost and generic risk — full 120Hz, HDR10+ retained, real foldable substrate, real warranty.

⚠️ Foldable Display Care — Read Before Install

Foldable pOLED displays are far more delicate than rigid glass OLEDs. Follow these handling rules to avoid voiding the warranty.

    🚫 Never Press The Crease

Do not push, prod or rest tools on the centre fold line. The hinge area uses a thinner substrate and is the most failure-prone region of any foldable display.

🪶 Do Not Peel UTG Layer

The ultra-thin protective layer is bonded as part of the panel — it is not a removable factory film. Peeling it will destroy the display surface and void the warranty.

🔪 No Sharp Tools Near Hinge

Use plastic spudgers and opening picks only when separating the inner display from the chassis. Metal blades near the hinge flex will sever the display tail.

    🌡️ Heat Gently & Evenly

Use a low-temperature heat pad. Foldable adhesive softens at lower temperatures than rigid glass — too much heat warps the substrate permanently.

If you have not opened a foldable phone before, professional install is strongly recommended. JPC Mobile Forest Lake — 0480 039 913.

👥 Who This Razr 60 OLED Is Built For

    🛠️ Foldable-Capable Repair Shops

Stock the part Motorola customers actually drop in for — a real foldable pOLED with full 120Hz and HDR10+. Match OEM service quality at a competitive aftermarket price.

    📱 Cracked-Crease Owners

Inner display crack along the fold, dead vertical line down the centre, touch failure across the hinge — classic foldable failures a fresh BQ7 OLED restores.

    💼 Resellers / Refurbishers

Refurbish trade-in Razr 60 stock — a clean inner display dramatically lifts resale value vs disclosing a damaged or screen-marked main panel.

    🏥 Insurance Replacements

Insurance and warranty workshops needing a tier-1 aftermarket panel that meets the original spec sheet — 120Hz, HDR10+, foldable substrate, 12-month cover.

🔍 Replace The Inner Display When You See

    📏 Vertical Line Down Centre

A coloured stripe running down the fold line — the most common foldable failure, caused by hinge-area substrate fatigue.

    💥 Cracked UTG Surface

Spider-web crack on the inner protective layer, often from pressure point damage or sitting on the open phone.

    ⬛ Dead / Black Half

Top or bottom half of the inner display has gone dark — display driver flex damaged or panel failure.

    👆 Touch Dead Across Crease

Touch works on one side of the fold but ignores swipes that cross the centre — digitiser layer split.

    🌈 Pink / Green Patches

Discoloured blooms across the inner panel — internal OLED layers damaged from pressure or moisture.

    🔥 OLED Burn-In

Faint ghosted images of static UI elements — keyboard, status bar or app icons left on too long.

    🛠️ Install — High-Level Overview (Pro Workshop)

    STEP 1

Power Off & Remove SIM Tray

Power off the phone fully. Eject the SIM tray. Place the closed phone on a soft work surface with the inner display facing down.

    STEP 2

    Heat Gently & Open Rear

Apply low-temperature heat to soften the rear cover adhesive. Use a suction cup + thin plastic pick to lift the rear cover. Mind the wireless charging coil flex.

    STEP 3

    Disconnect Battery First

Always disconnect the battery flex before any other connectors. Then disconnect the inner display flex from the motherboard side.

    STEP 4

    Release Inner OLED

Carefully release the inner OLED from the foldable mid-frame using plastic spudgers and isopropyl. Avoid the crease region. Never twist or flex the panel beyond its natural fold.

    STEP 5

    Seat New BQ7 OLED

Apply fresh foldable display adhesive. Seat the new BQ7 panel into the mid-frame, aligning the hinge-side flex with the existing routing channel. Do not peel the UTG protective layer.

    STEP 6

    Reconnect & Test Before Sealing

Reconnect display flex, then battery flex. Power on. Verify full panel illumination, 120Hz scroll, multi-touch sweep across the fold, and HDR10+ playback. Only then reseal the rear.

⚠️ TEST BEFORE SEALING. Foldable rear adhesive is single-use and unforgiving. Verify the new OLED works completely before reapplying adhesive and pressing the rear back into place.

    ❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is this for the inner foldable display or the outer cover screen? +

This is the inner main 6.9″ foldable display only. The outer 3.6″ cover pOLED on the Razr 60 is a separate part with a different connector and different size — order it separately if your outer screen is damaged.

Will it fit my Razr 60 Ultra (2025)? +

No. The Razr 60 Ultra has a different chassis size, different inner panel dimensions and a different display flex pinout. This part is for the standard Razr 60 (2025) only — XT2551 series.

Does it support full 120Hz like the original? +

Yes. This BQ7 OLED batch supports 120Hz operation on a real LTPO foldable backplane — vendor-confirmed. Smooth scrolling, fast touch tracking, and HDR10+ playback are all retained.

Should I peel the protective film on top? +

No — never peel the ultra-thin protective layer. It is bonded as part of the panel, not a removable factory film. Peeling it will destroy the display surface and void the warranty.

    Is the hinge included? +

No — the hinge and mid-frame assembly are not included. You transfer your original hinge from the old display assembly. The BQ7 panel ships with the OLED, integrated touch digitiser, pre-fitted UTG layer, and the hinge-side display flex tail.

Can I install this myself, or do I need a repair shop? +

Foldable phone display swaps are significantly harder than rigid phone screen swaps. We strongly recommend a professional workshop with prior foldable phone experience. The crease region is unforgiving of incorrect handling and the foldable adhesive is single-use.

My Razr 60 has a vertical line down the fold — will this fix it? +

Yes. A vertical coloured line along the centre fold is the most common foldable failure mode and is caused by panel substrate fatigue at the hinge. A fresh BQ7 OLED restores the full inner display.

Does HDR10+ still work after the swap? +

Yes — HDR10+ tone-mapping is retained. The BQ7 panel reproduces the wide colour gamut and contrast range of the original Razr 60 inner display so HDR Netflix, YouTube and gallery playback continues to work.

What's the difference between BQ7 aftermarket and OEM service? +

OEM service uses Motorola's original-spec service panel at the official Motorola repair price. BQ7 is the top tier of aftermarket — same foldable substrate, full 120Hz, full HDR10+, real per-panel QC and a 12-month replacement warranty, at a notably lower price point.

What does the 12-month warranty cover? +

Manufacturing defects: dead pixels, panel failure, touch failure, brightness uniformity faults, display driver fault, hinge-flex continuity failure. Excludes physical damage from drops, water, peeled UTG layer, or installation mistakes. Always test the panel before resealing the rear cover — install errors are not covered.
