Ghost touches caused by water, mainboard fault or a faulty Tristar/charge IC will not be fixed by a screen swap alone.

Yes — Face ID works after correct install. The Face ID TrueDepth camera module lives in the iPad chassis, not in the screen. A skilled technician will carefully transfer the original Face ID flex from the broken screen to the new one without damaging it.

If the original Face ID flex is torn during install, Face ID will permanently fail — this is the single biggest reason we recommend professional installation only.

iPad Pro 11" screen replacement is one of the more demanding repairs in the Apple lineup. Heavy adhesive holds the glass to the chassis, the LCD sits very close to the battery (puncture risk), and the Face ID flex must be transferred without tearing.

We strongly recommend professional installation by a qualified iPad technician. If you are an experienced repairer with the correct tools (controlled heat, suction, picks, plastic spudgers, screwdriver kit) and clean workspace, install is possible — go slow, particularly around the Face ID flex.
