When this part is suitable
Choose a digitizer replacement when the outer glass is cracked or touch input is faulty but the LCD underneath still displays a normal image. If the display has lines, dark areas, colour distortion or no picture, diagnose the LCD and other components before ordering.
Installation information
Professional installation is strongly recommended. The digitizer is bonded to the frame and removal can damage nearby cables or the LCD. Inspect the part and connector before installation, then test touch response before removing protective films or applying final adhesive.
Transfer the iPad's original paired Home button assembly to retain Touch ID. A replacement Home button can provide basic navigation but normally will not restore fingerprint recognition. The LCD, Home button, adhesive, tools and installation service are not included unless expressly shown or purchased separately.
