⚠️ True Tone Needs a Programmer
This panel installs plug-and-play — no microsoldering required. The touch IC is pre-bonded at the factory and the sensor flex is pre-installed. The only specialist step is True Tone restoration, which needs a screen programmer.

What is the difference between Soft OLED and Hard OLED?+
Soft OLED uses a flexible plastic substrate. It feels closer to the original Apple panel, has slightly warmer colour tone and is more forgiving during reassembly. Hard OLED uses a rigid glass base. It is cheaper but more brittle if the chassis flexes during install. Both deliver true OLED blacks and full 120Hz ProMotion. Soft OLED is the closer match to factory.
Will Face ID still work after I install this screen?+
Yes. Face ID is driven by the TrueDepth camera assembly above the screen — that module stays inside the phone during a screen swap. Replacing the screen does not affect Face ID. If Face ID was already broken before the screen damage, that is a separate TrueDepth fault and a screen swap will not bring it back.
Does this support 120Hz ProMotion and Always-On Display?+
Yes. The Soft OLED maintains the original 120Hz LTPO ProMotion adaptive refresh rate (10Hz to 120Hz). Always-On Display works as expected. Smooth scrolling and the original ProMotion behaviour are preserved.

Will True Tone work after I install this screen?+
True Tone requires a programmer (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy or Mijing) to copy the True Tone calibration data from the original panel onto this new Soft OLED. With the programmer step done, True Tone toggles back on in the iOS settings. Without it, the toggle disappears but the screen still works perfectly.
Is the proximity sensor flex included?+
Yes. The proximity sensor flex is pre-installed on the Soft OLED. You only need to move the original sensor housing metal shield plate and the small sensor module across from the broken panel. No additional flex purchase required.
Is this suitable for first-time DIY repair?+
Yes — provided you are confident with iPhone disassembly. This panel is plug-and-play with the touch IC pre-bonded, so no microsoldering is needed. The trickiest steps are a clean screen lift, the earpiece bracket and proximity sensor housing transfer, and re-seating the waterproof gasket. A first-time DIY tech with the right driver kit and patience can complete the swap.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?+
The 12-month warranty covers manufacturer panel defects — touch IC failure, dead pixels appearing without impact, backlight current issues, ghost touch developing without drop damage. The warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, install damage, or hairline cracks from incorrect adhesive seating.
