iPhone 13 Pro Max — 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR replacement panel.
A2643, A2484, A2641, A2644, A2645 — all global variants supported.
2778 × 1284 native, 458 ppi — matches the original Super Retina XDR spec.
120Hz LTPO ProMotion — adaptive 10Hz to 120Hz, same as original Apple panel.
🔬 The Diagnosable BQ7 Difference
"Diagnosable" means the panel responds correctly to professional diagnostic tools (JC, QianLi, Mijing, REWA, Phonefix). Test-points show clean readings. Touch IC reports back. Backlight current behaves as expected. This makes post-install verification fast and reliable — no guesswork.
Major repair-shop diagnostic platforms recognise the panel and report stable values.
Touch driver matches original Apple firmware response. No ghost-touch, no dead zones.
Continuous batch QC by the BQ7 product team. Feedback loop drives improvement.
Used daily by Australian repair shops on insurance and walk-in jobs.
Soft OLED vs Hard OLED vs Incell LCD — Honest Disclosure
Aftermarket iPhone 13 Pro Max screens come in three tiers. Pick the right one for your customer. This product is the top-tier Soft OLED.
Flexible plastic substrate. Closest match to the original Apple panel — true OLED blacks, full 120Hz ProMotion, Always-On Display, wide viewing angles. More forgiving during install thanks to the flexible base. Premium tier.
Rigid glass substrate. True OLED blacks and 120Hz still work. Slightly cooler colour tone and more rigid feel. Less forgiving during reassembly — the glass base can crack if the chassis is bent. Mid tier — budget-friendly OLED for cost-sensitive jobs.
Budget LCD panel. No true blacks, no Always-On Display, lower contrast, higher power draw. 120Hz still supported. Brighter under direct sunlight than OLED. Value tier — for tight-budget repairs where original Apple look is not required.
⚠️ True Tone Needs a Programmer
This panel installs plug-and-play — no microsoldering required. The touch IC is pre-bonded at the factory and the sensor flex is pre-installed. The only specialist step is True Tone restoration, which needs a screen programmer.
- Plug and play: Disconnect the broken panel. Move the earpiece bracket and proximity sensor housing across. Plug the new panel in. Power on.
- Face ID: Unaffected by the screen swap. Face ID lives in the TrueDepth camera assembly above the screen — that module stays in the phone.
- True Tone: Use a programmer (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy, Mijing) to copy the True Tone calibration data from the original panel onto the new panel. The toggle then returns to iOS settings.
- Skill level: Suitable for confident DIY techs. No soldering, no chip transfer. A programmer is only needed if you want True Tone back.
No programmer? The screen still installs and works perfectly. Only the True Tone toggle disappears from the iOS Display settings.

🔧 Install Notes & Best Practice
- Required tooling: Pentalobe + tri-point + Y000 driver, suction cup, plastic prying tools, isopropyl alcohol, and a screen programmer if you want True Tone back (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy or Mijing).
- Disconnect first: Disconnect the battery before touching the screen connectors. Standard iPhone repair safety.
- Earpiece + sensor housing: Move the earpiece speaker, mesh, metal bracket and proximity sensor housing across from the broken panel. The sensor flex itself is already pre-installed on the new screen.
- Plug and play: Seat the three new screen connectors firmly. No soldering, no chip transfer required — the touch IC is pre-bonded at the factory.
- True Tone restoration: Use a programmer to read the True Tone calibration data from the original panel and write it to the new panel.
- Adhesive: Always replace the front-frame waterproof adhesive gasket on reassembly.
- Power-on test: Bench test before final reassembly. Check display, touch, Face ID, True Tone, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor.
- Diagnostic verification: Run a JC / QianLi diagnostic post-install to confirm panel ID, touch response and stable backlight current.
