Privacy performance
Privacy glass works by narrowing the useful viewing area. It is intended to reduce visibility for people beside you while keeping the display readable from directly in front. It does not make the screen invisible from every angle, and it cannot prevent someone directly behind you or close to the device from seeing the display.
All privacy filters trade some brightness and viewing freedom for discretion. You may choose to increase screen brightness after fitting, which can affect battery use. Display colours can also look slightly darker than they do through clear glass. For maximum clarity with no privacy tint, choose the clear Baseus Crystalline HD version instead.
Installation guide
- Remove the phone case, switch off the iPhone and work on a clean surface away from fans and open windows.
- Wash and dry your hands, then use the supplied cleaning items to remove oil, fingerprints and dust from the display.
- Inspect the screen under bright light. Even a small remaining speck can cause a visible bubble.
- Place the Baseus tray over the iPhone in the orientation shown in the included instructions.
- Use the tray mechanism to align and release the protector without touching its adhesive surface.
- Allow the adhesive to spread across the display, then gently move any small air pockets towards the nearest edge.
- Remove the tray and check the complete perimeter before refitting a case.
- If a tight case lip presses against or lifts the protector, remove the case rather than forcing it into place.
Protection and fit limitations
A screen protector is a replaceable sacrificial layer. It can reduce scratches and help absorb some everyday impact, but it cannot make an iPhone scratch-proof, crack-proof, shatter-proof or unbreakable. Real-world protection depends on the fall, surface, case, installation and point of impact. Damage prevention is not guaranteed.
Full-screen protectors can conflict with unusually tight or thick case lips. Check that the case does not push against the edge of the glass. The protector does not change the phone's water-resistance rating and is not waterproofing.
Care and replacement
- Clean the protector with a soft microfibre cloth.
