๐ง Installation Overview
Mid-difficulty repair. The Moto G51 5G opens through the back cover. The charging port flex sits at the bottom edge and clips onto the mainboard with a single FPC connector. No soldering needed.
1๏ธโฃ Power Down + Remove SIM Tray
Turn the phone off completely. Eject the SIM tray with the included pin tool.
2๏ธโฃ Heat + Open the Back Cover
Warm the back panel evenly to soften the adhesive. Use a plastic pry tool to lift the back cover. Take care around the fingerprint flex.
3๏ธโฃ Disconnect the Battery First
Always disconnect the battery before removing any other connector. Prevents short circuits during the swap.
4๏ธโฃ Remove the Old Flex
Unclip the FPC connector from the mainboard. Lift the old flex out of its bracket. Note the routing path.
5๏ธโฃ Fit the New AMPLUS Flex
Drop the new flex into the same routing path. Press the FPC connector down evenly until it clicks home.
6๏ธโฃ Test Before Sealing
Reconnect the battery. Plug a charger in and confirm charging. Make a test call to confirm the mic. Then re-adhere the back.

How do I know it's the charging port and not the battery?+
Test with a known-good cable and a known-good charger first. If charging is still loose, intermittent, or fails entirely, the port is at fault. A failed battery typically holds charge poorly across the day but still accepts charging cleanly. If the cable falls out or wiggles, it's almost always the port flex โ not the battery.
Will this fix my microphone fault as well?+
Yes, in most cases. The Moto G51 5G factory design places the primary call microphone on the same flex as the USB-C port. A failed mic on this generation almost always means the charging port flex needs replacing. One part, both faults fixed.
Is soldering required to fit this part?+
No. The AMPLUS flex is the full assembly with a pre-soldered FPC connector. It plugs straight into the Moto G51 5G mainboard socket. No soldering, no rework station, no hot air needed.
Will it support TurboPower 20W fast charging?+
Yes. AMPLUS A-grade stock is built to OEM specification with the correct CC-pin handling and current rating to support full TurboPower 20W charging โ the same speed as a factory-fresh phone.
What does the 12-month AMPLUS warranty cover?+
The 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects: dead-on-arrival flex, mic that never works, charging that fails after correct install, or solder joint failure under normal use. Not covered: install damage, liquid damage, lifted FPC pads from rough fitting, or wear from foreign objects forced into the connector. Keep the order number for warranty claims.
Will it fit my Moto G50 / G52 / G62?+
No. This part is built for the Moto G51 5G (XT2171-2) only. The G50, G52, G53, G62, G42, G31, G41, G54, G71 5G and G84 all use different flex designs โ different lengths, connector positions, or pin-outs. Check the model number under Settings โ About phone before ordering.
Can I install it myself?+
Mid-difficulty repair. Confident DIY repairers with prior teardown experience can do it. The job needs heat to release the back cover, careful pry work, battery disconnection and clean FPC reseating. Highly recommended that you book a professional install if you're new to phone repair.
Does it come with adhesive or screws?+
No. You receive the AMPLUS charging port flex on its own in factory anti-static packaging. Source back-cover adhesive separately or have it fitted at our Forest Lake counter where the install includes fresh adhesive.
