    ⚠️ True Tone Will Disable After Swap

    A1932 (2019 refresh) and A2179 originally shipped with True Tone. AMPLUS aftermarket panels do not contain the original Apple pairing chip.

    True Tone toggle in System Preferences greys out. Auto white-balance to ambient light is lost.

    Installation — Pro Repair Strongly Advised

    ⚠️ MacBook display swaps are advanced. The hinge anchor screws sit under the logic board. We strongly recommend a pro fit.

    Step 1 — Power Off

    Shut down. Unplug the USB-C charger.

    Step 2 — Open the Bottom Case

    Use a P5 pentalobe driver for the case screws.

    Step 3 — Disconnect Battery First

    Lift the battery flex from the logic board.

    Step 4 — Release LCD & Camera Flex

    Lift the EMI shields and pop the connectors.

    Step 5 — Remove the Hinge Screws

    Loosen the T5 Torx hinge anchors carefully.

    Step 6 — Fit the New Lid

    Seat the hinges. Reconnect flex. Test before sealing.

    Will this fit my MacBook Air?+
    It fits the 13.3-inch Intel MacBook Air with model number A1932 (2018 or 2019) or A2179 (2020) in Gold. Click About This Mac to confirm yours.
    Does it fit the M1 or M2 MacBook Air?+
    No. M1 (A2337) and M2 (A2681) use a different display flex and chassis. This part is for the last-Intel A1932 and A2179 only.
    What if my Mac is Silver or Space Grey?+
    You need a colour-matched lid. Email us your model and colour. We will confirm the right A1932 or A2179 stock.
    Will True Tone still work?+
    No. True Tone needs the original Apple pairing chip. AMPLUS aftermarket panels do not include it. Display, brightness and colour all work normally.
    What does AMPLUS grade mean?+
    AMPLUS is a premium aftermarket grade for Mac displays. Brightness, colour and viewing angles match Apple original spec. Used by repair shops across Australia.
    Does the lid include the camera?+
    Yes. The FaceTime HD camera, antenna and all flex cables are pre-installed. You do not need to source separate parts.
    What tools do I need?+
    A P5 pentalobe driver for the bottom case, a T5 Torx for the hinges, plastic spudgers and ESD-safe tweezers. Tools are not included.
    Can I install it myself?+
    Only if you are skilled. The hinge anchor screws sit under the logic board and the battery flex must be lifted first. Pro install is strongly advised.
