Compatibility and correct tool selection

P2 is commonly used for the external screws on iPhone models from iPhone 4 onward. Always confirm the required driver in the repair guide for your exact device before starting. This is not a Phillips, Torx or tri-point driver, and it is not the larger P5 pentalobe size commonly used for MacBook cases.

Safer repair use

Power the device off before disassembly. Seat the tip fully in the screw head, keep the driver straight and apply light downward pressure.
