Why does the S21 Ultra need UV glue instead of regular tempered glass?
The Galaxy S21 Ultra has an aggressively curved Gorilla Glass Victus display. Regular tempered glass with edge-bond adhesive only sticks at the flat centre — the glass rises off the curved edges, leaving gaps. Those gaps look bad, catch on your thumb during swipes, and — critically — create an air pocket over the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that causes read failures. UV liquid glue floods the entire surface with a solid optical bond that follows the curve exactly, solving all three problems.
Will my fingerprint sensor still work with this glass installed?
Yes — when correctly installed. The S21 Ultra uses a Qualcomm 3D Sonic ultrasonic sensor (not optical). The UV liquid glue creates a solid bond with no air gap between the glass and the display surface. This allows the ultrasonic waves to pass through cleanly for accurate fingerprint reading. The key is correct UV curing — if the glue is under-cured or bubbles remain, sensor performance can drop. This is why professional installation is strongly recommended.
What UV lamp do I need and how long do I cure for?
Any UV-A lamp (365–395nm wavelength) used in phone repair works for this application. A standard UV lamp used for gel nails or phone repair will cure the glue. Cure time is typically 2–3 minutes under a direct UV lamp. Do not attempt to cure in sunlight — it takes too long and gives uneven results. What is CSG High-Aluminum glass?
CSG stands for China Safety Glass — a leading manufacturer of high-alumina tempered glass used in premium screen protectors. High-alumina glass has a higher aluminium oxide content than standard soda-lime glass, making it harder, more chemically resistant, and better suited for thin-cut precision applications like 3D hot-bent curved screen protectors. The 9H rating means it resists scratching from any material below 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — that includes keys, coins, and most everyday objects.
Can I install this myself or should I use a technician?
Professional installation is strongly recommended. UV glass installation requires a UV lamp, a steady hand for glue application, and experience in removing excess glue cleanly from curved edges. A poorly applied UV glass can bubble, yellow over time, or leave glue residue on the display. If you are experienced with UV glass installations, you can do it yourself — but this is not a standard peel-and-stick application. Does 0.33mm glass add thickness I can feel?
No. At 0.33mm the glass adds virtually no perceivable thickness to your S21 Ultra. For reference, a human hair is approximately 0.07mm — this glass is just 4-5 hairs thick. Touch sensitivity is fully maintained. You will not notice it is there except for the scratch protection it provides.
Will this affect the S21 Ultra's 120Hz refresh rate or colour accuracy?
No. The ≥92% light transmission means less than 8% of light is absorbed by the glass — the display's brightness, contrast, and colour accuracy are effectively unchanged. The 120Hz adaptive refresh rate is not affected by a glass screen protector. Touch latency is also not impacted by 0.33mm glass.
What warranty does this screen protector carry?
This product carries a 7-day Dead on Arrival (DOA) policy. If the glass arrives cracked, chipped, or defective, contact us within 7 days with photo evidence and we will arrange a replacement. Normal wear, installation damage, and dropped phone breakage are not covered. Screen protectors are a consumable item and do not carry an extended warranty.
Can I remove the UV glass if I want to replace it?
Yes, but it requires heat and care. Warming the glass gently with a heat gun or hair dryer softens the UV glue bond enough to peel it away. Residual glue can then be removed with isopropyl alcohol and a microfibre cloth. Do not use sharp tools to pry — this can scratch the Gorilla Glass Victus display underneath. Removal and reapplication should be done by an experienced technician to avoid screen damage.
How long does delivery take?
