    The only reliable way is to physically inspect the fan inside your console. Remove the PS5 side panel and look at the fan — count the blades or read the part number printed on the fan label. Part number G12L12MS1AH-56J14 is the 17-blade NIDEC. Part number 12047GA-12M-WB-01 is the 23-blade Delta/NMB.

    Your PS5's model number (CFI-1015A, CFI-1116A, etc.) gives a general guide, but Sony used both fan types across different production batches of the same model. Always check physically to be certain before ordering.
