    This is a direct-replacement HDMI port for the original PlayStation 5. It fits CFI-1000, CFI-1100, and CFI-1200 motherboards. Both Disc and Digital Editions use the same socket. It is a true HDMI 2.1 part with full 48Gbps bandwidth. That restores 4K at 120Hz, HDR10, Dolby Vision, VRR, eARC, and ALLM. The PSVR2 headset handshake also needs this full bandwidth. Contacts are gold-plated 19-pin Type A. The reinforced metal shell has four ground anchor tabs. Every unit is bench inspected for continuity before dispatch.     Why True HDMI 2.1 Matters On A PS5

    Many cheap "PS5 ports" are re-labelled HDMI 2.0 parts. They fit the footprint but cap your console.

    • No picture after the swap? Reflow the port legs with flux. Check the TVS protection diode in the HDMI area.

    My PS5 turns on but the TV says no signal. Is this the fix? +

    Very likely, yes. First swap the HDMI cable and try another TV. If the white light is on and both tests fail, the port is damaged. A broken HDMI port is the most common PS5 hardware failure.

    Can I fit this myself with a normal soldering iron? +

    No. This repair needs hot-air rework, a fine-tip iron, and a microscope. It is one of the hardest console repairs. Beginner attempts usually lift pads and brick the board. Use a micro-soldering professional or our bench.

    Does it fit the PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro? +

    No. This part is confirmed for CFI-1000, CFI-1100, and CFI-1200 boards only. The Slim and Pro use different motherboards. Do not risk this part on those consoles. Check the CFI number on your console label.

    Can I use a PS4 HDMI port instead? +

    No. PS4 ports look the same but have a different footprint and pin structure. They also carry a lower bandwidth class. Fitting one damages pads and never restores full output. Always use a PS5-specific port.

    Why does true HDMI 2.1 matter for a replacement port? +

    Cheap ports are often re-labelled HDMI 2.0 parts. They cap the console at 4K 60Hz. VRR greys out and PSVR2 fails to handshake. This part passes the full 48Gbps the PS5 was built for.

    Why does PSVR2 fail on a port that still shows a picture? +

    PSVR2 demands the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth to handshake. A marginal port can still drive a normal TV. The headset is far more sensitive to signal integrity. Replacing the port restores the handshake and tracking stability.

    The picture is still dead after my port swap. What now? +

    Reflow the port legs with fresh flux first. Then inspect the tiny capacitor and zener diode near the port. Hot air often disturbs them during removal. The TVS protection diode in the HDMI area can also fail.

    Will replacing the port void my Sony warranty? +

    Yes. Opening the PS5 breaks the tamper seal and voids remaining Sony cover. Most broken ports come from cable damage, which Sony treats as accidental anyway. If your console is still under Sony warranty, contact Sony first.

    Is there a warranty on the connector itself? +

    This is solder-in hardware, so no long warranty applies. Cover is 7-day dead-on-arrival only. Every unit is bench inspected for continuity before dispatch. Once soldered, the result depends on installer workmanship, not the part.
