    Authenticity Guaranteed

Genuine PULL-A grade. Pulled from real Sony donor controllers in Grade A condition. Not a no-name aftermarket carbon film with a different conductive resistance. Real OEM contact pads, real OEM ribbon backing.

    Reliable Dispatch

Orders ship in 2-4 business days from Brisbane. Tracked dispatch on every order. Each conductive film is bench-verified for contact pad continuity, ribbon flex integrity and visual condition before dispatch.

Verify Your DualSense Controller Version Before Ordering

The conductive film keypad is sold by version. Order the part that matches your CFI-ZCT1W revision. The wrong version will physically fit the buttons but the conductive layout and contact pattern can vary across BDM revisions, which means an inaccurate fix.

    How To Read Your Serial

Flip your DualSense controller over. Read the serial number printed on the white sticker near the bottom. The format is one letter then six digits, for example E1xxxxx. The second character (the digit) is your version number. E1xxxxx = V1 (BDM-010). E2xxxxx = V2 (BDM-020). E3xxxxx = V3. E4xxxxx = V4. E5xxxxx = V5.

    Need Help Identifying?

Walk in to Shop 3A, 152 Woogaroo St, Forest Lake QLD 4078 with your controller. We will identify the BDM revision on the bench in under a minute. Or send a clear photo of the serial sticker with your order notes and we will verify the part for you before dispatch.

    Symptoms This Conductive Film Fixes

If your DualSense controller shows any of these symptoms, the conductive film keypad is the most likely cause. Worn conductive carbon stops making clean electrical contact under the rubber button membrane.

    D-Pad Inputs Not Registering

Pressing up, down, left or right on the D-pad does nothing on screen, or only registers some directions. Common in fighting games, retro emulation and menu navigation.

    X / O / Square / Triangle Not Responding

One or more face buttons stop registering. Tapping does nothing, holding does nothing. Often it is the most-used button (X for confirm, square for reload, triangle for melee) that fails first.

    Sticky Or Delayed Button Presses

The button presses but the input arrives late on screen, or the button mechanically clicks but registers as a hold. Worn carbon contact resistance is the cause.

    Ghost Inputs Mid-Game

Buttons fire on their own without you pressing them. Character moves randomly. Menu cursor scrolls by itself. Caused by partial contact welding the carbon trace closed.

    Heavy Force Required To Activate

A normal press no longer fires the input. You have to hammer the button. Hand fatigue follows. Tournament players notice this first because their inputs need to be at competitive speed.

Double Press From A Single Press

One button tap registers as two. You quick-melee twice when you meant once. You select the wrong menu item. Bouncing carbon contact is the cause.

    Inconsistent Day-To-Day Response

The button works fine some sessions and dies others. Temperature and humidity affect oxidised carbon contact. Replacement is the only permanent fix.

    Cleaning Did Not Fix It

You cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and the buttons still fail. That confirms the conductive carbon itself is worn out, not just contaminated. Film replacement is required.

Why PULL-A Grade Over Aftermarket Carbon Film

Pulled From Real Sony Donor Controllers

PULL-A parts come out of properly decommissioned Sony DualSense controllers. The conductive film is original Sony, with the original Sony carbon trace pattern, original Sony ribbon backing and original Sony adhesive. Not an aftermarket copy.

    Grade A Visual Condition

Each PULL-A film is sorted by visual grade. A grade means no cracks, no burns, no pitting and no visible carbon wear. Films with any defect are graded down or scrapped. You get a working, clean-condition pull only.

    Bench-Verified Continuity

Every film is multimeter-tested for contact pad continuity before dispatch. Out-of-spec films do not leave the workshop. You receive a film that is electrically verified, not just visually sorted.

    Matches OEM Resistance

Aftermarket carbon films often have a different contact resistance than the Sony original, which causes inconsistent input pressure and ghost inputs after a few weeks. PULL-A delivers original-spec carbon resistance because it is original Sony carbon.

    DOES NOT FIT

CFI-ZCT2W (BDM-060 and later, the 2024+ revised DualSense) — different motherboard, different conductive layout. Order the CFI-ZCT2W version of this part.

DualSense Edge (CFI-ZCP1) — different motherboard architecture with hot-swappable analog stick modules. The Edge needs different internal repair parts.

    PS4 DualShock 4 (CUH-ZCT1, CUH-ZCT2) — entirely different controller family.

PS3 DualShock 3 / SIXAXIS — entirely different controller family.

Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch Pro, Steam Deck, Stadia, third-party PS5-compatible controllers — different controller architectures.

This part does not service the L1, L2, R1, R2, PS Home, Options, Share/Create, mute, touchpad-click or analog stick inputs — those use separate components.

Verify your serial number on the rear of the controller before ordering. Format E[N]xxxxx where N is the version digit (1 to 5). PS5 DualSense Australian retail stock almost always reads CFI-ZCT1W.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How do I find out if my DualSense is V1, V2, V3, V4 or V5? +

    Flip your DualSense controller over. Look at the white sticker near the bottom of the back. The serial number reads as one letter then six digits, for example E1xxxxx, E2xxxxx, E3xxxxx, E4xxxxx or E5xxxxx. The second character (the digit) is the version. E1 = V1 (BDM-010), E2 = V2 (BDM-020), E3 = V3 (BDM-030), E4 = V4 (BDM-040), E5 = V5 (BDM-050).

If the second character is anything else, your controller is likely a CFI-ZCT2W (BDM-060+). This part will not fit — order the CFI-ZCT2W version of the conductive film instead. If you are unsure, send a photo of the serial sticker with your order notes. We will verify the part for you before dispatch.

My X button works fine but my D-pad does not register, will this fix it? +

Yes. The conductive film keypad is a single ribbon that covers both the four face buttons (X, O, Square, Triangle) and the four-way D-pad. If any of those eight inputs has stopped registering, is double-pressing or is generating ghost inputs, this is the part to replace.

If the failed input is L1, L2, R1, R2, PS Home, Options, Create (Share), mute or the touchpad click, this is not the right part — those use separate components.

What does PULL-A actually mean? +

PULL-A is the trade-grade name for parts pulled from real Sony donor controllers in Grade A visual condition. The carbon film, ribbon backing and adhesive are the original Sony components, not aftermarket copies. Grade A means no cracks, no burns, no pitting and no visible carbon wear. Films with any visible defect are graded down or scrapped.

PULL-A delivers original-spec contact resistance because it is the original Sony carbon. Aftermarket copies often have a different conductive resistance, which can cause inconsistent input pressure and return-of-ghost-inputs after a few weeks of use.

Is there a 12-month warranty on this part? +

No. PULL-A pulled OEM parts carry a 7-day dead-on-arrival replacement only. No extended manufacturer warranty applies to a pulled OEM component. The part has already lived its first life inside a Sony controller, so a fresh-from-factory warranty does not apply.

Each film is multimeter-tested for continuity before it ships. Test continuity on the bench within the first seven days from delivery. If the part fails, contact us for a like-for-like replacement under Australian Consumer Law.

Do I need to solder, flash firmware or use a programmer? +

No. The conductive film is a passive part — it sits between the rubber button membrane and the motherboard contact pads. There is no soldering involved, no firmware flash, no programmer, no JC, no JCID, no i2C and no calibration step. Swap the film and reassemble.

Tools required (not included): a PH00 Phillips driver, plastic pry tools and fine-tip tweezers. A lint-free swab with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol is also handy. Use it to clean the rubber membrane and contact pads while the controller is open.

Will this fix stick drift on my analog sticks? +

No. Stick drift is a fault in the analog stick potentiometers (or in newer Hall effect modules). Those are entirely separate components from the face button and D-pad conductive film. Replacing this film will not affect stick drift in any way.

For drift, you need a replacement analog stick module or a Hall effect upgrade kit. We can advise on the right part for your CFI-ZCT1W revision — ask us.

Will this fit a DualSense Edge or the new 2024+ DualSense (CFI-ZCT2W)? +

No. The DualSense Edge (model CFI-ZCP1) uses an entirely different motherboard. It also has hot-swappable analog stick modules. This CFI-ZCT1W film will not align with the Edge contact pads. The 2024+ revised standard DualSense (CFI-ZCT2W, BDM-060 and later) uses a different motherboard with a different conductive layout. This part will not match either.

Check the model number on the back of your controller. CFI-ZCT1W = original DualSense, fits this part. CFI-ZCT2W = revised 2024+ DualSense, order the CFI-ZCT2W version. CFI-ZCP1 = DualSense Edge, ask us first — the Edge needs different internal parts.

My buttons feel mushy and unresponsive — is the film or the rubber membrane the problem? +

Both can cause mushy feel, but they fail in different ways. Listen to the click. If the buttons still click crisply but the input does not register on screen, the conductive film is worn out — this is the right part. If the buttons themselves feel spongy and lost their snap, the rubber silicone button membrane has perished.

It is common for both to be due for replacement at the same time. While you have the controller open, inspect the rubber membrane for splits, sticky residue or flattened domes. We stock the replacement membrane separately if needed — ask in your order notes and we can pair the parts.

Will opening the controller void my Sony warranty? +

Yes. Opening the DualSense controller voids the Sony manufacturer warranty — this is standard for any internal repair. If your DualSense is still inside the Sony warranty period, claim through Sony first. That is the better path when the failure is a covered fault.

Sony warranty typically runs 12 months from purchase. If yours has already lapsed, this self-repair is the practical fix. The same applies if the failure is wear-and-tear (worn carbon under the buttons) rather than a covered defect.

Where does this ship from and can I get it in Brisbane the same week? +

All orders ship in 2-4 business days from real Brisbane stock at Shop 3A, 152 Woogaroo St, Forest Lake QLD 4078. Tracked courier delivery to every state and territory in Australia. Brisbane metro click-and-collect is available the same business day stock is reserved.
