    How to Remove the SIM Tray

    Locate the Tray Port

    Find the small hole on the side of the tablet. It is next to the tray slot on the SM-T225.

    Insert Eject Tool

    Insert a SIM eject pin or a straightened paperclip into the hole. Push gently until the tray pops out.

    3

    Swap the Tray

    Remove the old tray and place your SIM and SD cards into the new one. Insert it back until it clicks.

    4

    Test and Confirm

    Power on the tablet. Go to Settings to confirm the SIM and SD card are both detected correctly.

    What is a Samsung Service Pack part? +

    Samsung Service Pack parts are genuine replacement components made by Samsung. They use the original Samsung part number and meet the same factory standards.

    GH81-20673A is the official Samsung part number for this tray. It is not an aftermarket or third-party copy.

    Will this tray fit the SM-T220 (Wi-Fi model)? +

    No. The SM-T220 Wi-Fi model uses a different tray. It has only one slot for MicroSD — no SIM slots at all.

    This GH81-20673A tray has two Nano-SIM slots and one MicroSD slot. It is the LTE combo tray. It is designed for the SM-T225 chassis only.

    How do I know if I have the T225 or T220? +

    The model number is printed on the back of the tablet in small text. You can also check Settings → General Management → About Tablet for the model number.

    If your tablet has a SIM card slot already, it is the T225 LTE. A tablet with no SIM slot is the T220 Wi-Fi model. It has only an SD card slot.

    Does the tray hold two SIM cards at once? +

    Yes. The SM-T225 supports Dual SIM. The tray has two Nano-SIM slots and one MicroSD slot. Everything fits in one combo tray.

    Both SIM cards work at once. A MicroSD card for extra storage also fits in the same tray.

    Do I need to open the tablet to replace the tray? +

    No. The SIM tray is external. You eject it from the outside using a SIM pin or paperclip. No disassembly, no tools, and no opening of the device is needed.

    The tray slides out from the side of the tablet. It clicks back in once your cards are placed.

    I have a Silver SM-T225 — does this Gray tray fit? +

    The tray will fit mechanically — the chassis is the same across colours. However the Gray tray will not match a Silver body cosmetically.
