    Confirm The Buttons Are The Fault

    Run these checks before swapping the side keys.

    • Press each button firmly — note which ones still click.
    • If you hear a click but feel no response, the flex cable may be faulty.
    • If you hear no click at all, the outer button is the issue.
    • If buttons rattle in the frame, the outer keys have worn out.
    • If finish has rubbed off, the outer keys need a colour-match swap.
    • If a button is missing or popped out, the outer set is the fix.
    • If the click works but feels mushy, the buttons are still the fault.
    • Check both flex and outer keys when full disassembly is already needed.
