With the rear panel already lifted off the chassis, scrape the old adhesive from the chassis perimeter using a plastic pry tool — never metal.

Wipe the chassis perimeter and the inside face of the back glass with a lint-free cloth dampened in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Both surfaces must be 100% clean and dry.

Peel the first backing layer off the new seal. Align it carefully with the rear chassis perimeter — do not stretch the gasket and avoid the camera and MagSafe cutouts.
