    How to Apply Battery Adhesive Strips

    Clean the Battery Bay

    Remove old adhesive residue from the chassis before applying. Use isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth.

    Peel the Backing

    Peel one side of the strip backing. Align the strip with the battery bay floor before pressing down.

    Press Firmly

    Press the strip firmly into the chassis. Full contact activates the adhesive for maximum bond strength.

    Seat the Battery

    Peel the top backing, then lay the battery in position. Press down to bond. Route pull tabs so they are accessible.

    Do I need new adhesive strips every time I replace the battery? +

    Yes. The factory adhesive tabs are single-use. They stretch and tear during battery removal. They cannot hold a new battery once used.

    Will these strips fit the iPhone 14 Plus or 14 Pro? +

    No. The Plus, Pro, and Pro Max models have different battery dimensions. They require their own adhesive strips.

    Use a plastic spudger or tweezers to peel away torn strip remnants. Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to remove any sticky residue left behind.

    Let the area dry fully before applying the new strips. Moisture weakens adhesive bond strength.

    Can I use double-sided tape instead of these strips? +

    We do not recommend it. Generic tape is not designed for the temperature and pressure conditions inside a phone. It can fail and allow the battery to move.
