    ⚠️ Touch ID warning: The home button is paired to the iPad's logic board. Transfer the original home button to keep Touch ID working. A replacement button only restores click — not fingerprint sign-in.

    Installation — Pro Repair Recommended

    ⚠️ Bonded glass repair. The LCD, digitizer and glass are fully laminated. The screen comes out as one assembly with heat and suction. Cracking is easy if rushed.

    Step 1 — Power Off

    Shut down. Unplug the charger.

    Step 2 — Heat the Edges

    Soften the adhesive with a heat pad or iOpener.

    Step 3 — Lift with Suction

    Pull a small gap with a suction cup. Slide plastic picks around the perimeter.

    Step 4 — Disconnect Battery First

    Remove the metal LCD shield. Lift the battery flex from the logic board.

    Step 5 — Release the Flex Cables

    Pop the digitizer and LCD connectors. Lift the old screen out.

    Step 6 — Transfer Home Button

    Move the original Touch ID home button across to the new screen.

    Step 7 — Test Before Sealing

    Reconnect the new screen. Power on. Confirm display, touch and Touch ID.

    Step 8 — Re-Adhere

    Apply fresh adhesive strips. Seat the screen and press evenly.

    Will this fit my iPad Air 2?+
    It fits the 2014 iPad Air 2 with model number A1566 or A1567 and a black front bezel. Look at the back of the iPad to find your A-number.
    My iPad is Silver or Gold — does this fit?+
    No. Silver and Gold iPads use a white front bezel. Order the White variant of this screen instead. Email us if you need stock confirmation.
    Does it fit iPad Air 1, iPad 5 or iPad 6?+
    No. The first-gen iPad Air uses a separate LCD and digitizer. iPad 5 (A1822/A1823) and iPad 6 (A1893/A1954) use different non-laminated screens. This part is iPad Air 2 only.
    Will Touch ID still work after the swap?+
    Yes if you transfer the original home button across. The Touch ID sensor is paired to the iPad's logic board. A new replacement button only restores click — fingerprint sign-in needs the original.
    What does BQ7 grade mean?+
    BQ7 is the top tier of premium aftermarket iPad screens. Brightness, colour and touch are tested to match Apple original spec. Used by repair shops across Australia.
    Is the LCD bonded to the glass?+
    Yes. iPad Air 2 was the first iPad with full lamination. The LCD, digitizer and glass come as one bonded assembly. You cannot replace the glass alone.
