    How to Fit Your AirPods Into the Robot Armor Case (No Tools)

    Setup takes about 30 seconds. No screws. No glue. No tools.

    Step 1 · Slide on TPU Sleeve

    Stretch the soft inner bumper over the AirPods case. Lid stays free.

    Step 2 · Clip on Front Plate

    Press the hard PC front panel onto the bumper. Watch the LED window line up.

    Step 3 · Clip on Back Plate

    Press the back PC plate on. Both plates click together around the bumper.

    Step 4 · Attach Carabiner

    Hook the stainless steel D-ring through the loop on the back plate.

    Step 5 · Test the Lid

    Open and close the AirPods lid. The case should not fight the hinge.

    Step 6 · Test Charging

    Important Use & Care Note

    This case is a drop and scratch shield. It is not waterproof. Do not submerge the AirPods case in water. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth only. Avoid harsh solvents.

    Test the lid before clipping the carabiner to a bag. The Apple case lid should swing freely. Damage from a wet AirPods case is not covered by the bench inspection.

    Will this case fit my AirPods?+
    It fits both Apple charging cases: the A1602 Lightning case and the A1938 wireless case. Both share identical external dimensions. The A1602 ships with AirPods 1st Gen and most 2nd Gen sets. The A1938 wireless case ships with the AirPods 2nd Gen wireless bundle. Check the model number on the underside before ordering.
    Does it fit AirPods 3, AirPods Pro or AirPods 4?+
    No. AirPods 3 use a shorter wider case shape. AirPods Pro 1 and Pro 2 use a smaller narrower compact case. AirPods 4 use a brand new case shape. None of those will fit this armor. This case is designed for the taller AirPods 1st and 2nd Gen case only.
    Can I charge wirelessly through the case?+
    Only if your case is the Apple A1938 wireless model. Drop the cased AirPods straight onto a Qi mat. Charging passes through the TPU and PC shell. The original A1602 Lightning case does not support Qi. Check the model number on the underside before you try wireless charging.
    Will my Lightning cable still fit through the cutout?+
    Yes. The bottom cutout is sized for the original Apple Lightning cable head. Plug it straight into the case without removing the armor. Most third-party Lightning cables also fit. Very fat aftermarket connectors may need to be unplugged from the case more carefully.
    What is the carabiner clip made of?+
    It is a stainless steel D-ring with a spring-loaded gate. Stainless steel will not snap or rust like cheap zinc clips. The gate opening is around 8mm wide. That fits onto bag straps, belt loops, keys and zipper pulls. The clip threads through a loop on the back armor plate.
    What is the case made of?+
    Two materials. The inner bumper is soft thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The outer plates are hard polycarbonate (PC). TPU absorbs the energy of a drop. PC stops the case from getting crushed or scratched. Together they give two-layer drop defence in a compact shell.
    Does it cover the LED status light?+
    No. There is a clear cutout window on the front face. The LED stays visible at all times. Open the lid and the light shows green for charged. Plug a cable in and it shows amber for charging. Pair the AirPods and it flashes white. Nothing is hidden.
    Is the case waterproof?+
    No. This is a drop and scratch shield. It is not waterproof or dust-sealed. Do not submerge the cased AirPods in water. Light rain and sweat are fine. A pool drop or washing machine cycle will still kill the AirPods inside. Take the AirPods out before any deep wash.
    Is there a warranty on the case?+
    No manufacturer warranty applies to aftermarket accessory cases. Each case is bench inspected before dispatch. Fitment, hinge clearance and carabiner spring are all checked. Faulty cases on arrival can be reported within 7 days. Drop damage and normal wear are not covered.
