Yes. Most laptop display bezels — the plastic frame around the screen — are 4–6mm wide. The 5mm VHB fits this channel without overhang onto the display. It bonds the plastic bezel to the aluminium screen lid and holds under the flex and vibration of daily laptop use.
Can I use VHB 5mm for LED strip mounting?+
Yes. VHB foam tape is strongly recommended for LED strip mounting. It holds the strip firmly to aluminium channels, cornices, and ceiling profiles. The foam core resists the heat generated by LEDs over long periods. Standard double-sided tape often fails after months of LED heat. VHB stays bonded.
What is the difference between VHB tape and transfer tape at 5mm?+

How many LED strip metres does a 25m roll cover?+
One 25m roll covers over 20 metres of LED strip installation with full tape coverage. For LED channel mounting, use 5–8cm of VHB tape every 20–30cm along the channel. This is stronger than running a full tape length and allows for thermal expansion of the strip.
Can VHB 5mm tape be removed after bonding?+
VHB is permanent and is not designed for removal. It can be separated using a thin nylon cord or dental floss to cut through the foam, followed by IPA to remove the adhesive residue. Removal may still damage paint or soft plastic. Plan placement before pressing.
