Surface preparation

1. Test the tape on the intended materials before full installation.
2. Clean both surfaces so they are dry and free from dust, oil and grease.
3. Apply the tape without stretching it and press firmly across the full bond area.
4. Allow the bond to develop before loading it; maximum strength can take up to 72 hours depending on the materials and conditions.

Important limitations

• This is a permanent adhesive and removal may damage paint, coatings or soft surfaces.
• Bond performance varies by surface, temperature, preparation, load and exposure.
• Polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone, rough masonry, untreated timber and other difficult surfaces may require a compatible primer or a different adhesive.
• Do not rely on adhesive tape alone for load-bearing, overhead, safety-critical or structural installations without appropriate engineering assessment.
• VHB foam tape is thicker than precision transfer tape and is not recommended for phone display bezels or repairs requiring an ultra-thin bond line.
• If your application requires a certified thickness, temperature rating or exact VHB series, verify the supplied roll markings before use.
