What does "BQ7" mean and is it good quality?+
BQ7 stands for "Best Quality Grade 7" — the top tier of aftermarket iPhone 11 LCD assemblies. It uses LTPS panel technology, true Incell touch, COF flex design, and reserved IC pads. The closest aftermarket match for Apple's original Liquid Retina display in look, brightness, and colour. It is not OEM Apple, but it punches above its price point and is widely used by professional repair shops in Australia.
Is the iPhone 11 screen LCD or OLED?+
The iPhone 11 uses an LCD panel — Apple calls it the "Liquid Retina" display. Only the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max use OLED panels (Apple calls those "Super Retina XDR"). If you have an iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max, this LCD screen will not fit — you need an OLED replacement instead.
Does True Tone still work after I install this?+
Yes — but only if you successfully transfer the IC chips from your old screen. The IC chips contain the True Tone calibration data paired to your iPhone's logic board. The reserved IC pads on this BQ7 screen are designed to accept those chips. If the chips are damaged during transfer, True Tone will be permanently lost. iOS may also display an "Unknown Part" warning in Settings → General → About if a chip is missing or installed incorrectly.
What's the difference between COF and COG?+
COF (Chip On Flex) places the driver chip on the flexible cable, allowing a thinner bottom bezel that matches the original iPhone 11 design. COG (Chip On Glass) places the chip on the glass panel itself, resulting in a thicker bottom bezel that does not match OEM. This BQ7 uses COF, so the screen looks identical to the original Apple display when installed. The trade-off: COF flex cables are more delicate during installation — handle with care.
Will this fit my iPhone XR or iPhone 11 Pro?+
No. This screen fits iPhone 11 only (model numbers A2221, A2111, A2223). The iPhone XR (A1984/A2105/A2106/A2108) is the same 6.1″ size and looks identical externally, but uses a different flex cable layout — XR screens will not fit iPhone 11 and vice versa. The iPhone 11 Pro (5.8″) and 11 Pro Max (6.5″) use OLED displays and need different replacement parts entirely. Always confirm your model number in Settings → General → About before ordering.

Why should I test the screen before sealing it?+
Always plug the new screen into the logic board and power on the iPhone before transferring IC chips or applying adhesive. Once IC chips have been transferred to the new screen, the screen is considered installed and cannot be returned for refund. Testing first protects you against the rare DOA panel.
