    Install Notes — No Microsoldering Needed

    This is a standard screen swap. Read these notes before you start.

    • Power off and remove the two P2 pentalobe screws first.
    • Soften the perimeter adhesive with gentle heat before opening.
    • Disconnect the battery FPC before any other connector.
    • Move the earpiece speaker and TrueDepth flex to the new panel.
    • Keep the original flexes for working Face ID.
    • Test the screen fully before you apply fresh adhesive.
    • Run Apple Diagnostics, then check True Tone and brightness.
    • Use new waterproof adhesive to restore the seal.

    Skill level is intermediate. Expect around 30 to 45 minutes on the bench.
