Verified Fitment โ€” Switch, Switch OLED & Switch Lite Joy-Con

    โœ… Confirmed Compatible

    • Nintendo Switch (V1) โ€” HAC-001 (released March 2017)
    • Nintendo Switch (V2) โ€” HAC-001(-01) (released August 2019)
    • Nintendo Switch OLED โ€” HEG-001 (released October 2021)
    • Nintendo Switch Lite โ€” HDH-001 (released September 2019)
    • Fits both left and right Joy-Con and the Lite's built-in stick

    โŒ Does NOT Fit

    • Nintendo Switch 2 โ€” redesigned magnetic Joy-Con (different module)
    • Nintendo Switch Pro Controller โ€” uses a different analog stick
    • Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go โ€” not compatible
    • Wii U GamePad, 3DS, 2DS โ€” different chassis and connector
    • PlayStation DualShock / DualSense, Xbox controllers โ€” different module
    • Third-party Switch pads โ€” most use a non-OEM stick footprint

Fixes These Common Joy-Con Drift Symptoms

    โฌ†๏ธ Character Moves Alone

Player walks or runs without any input.

๐ŸŽฏ Camera Pans on Its Own

View slowly drifts left or right in-game.

    โŒ Stick Feels Unresponsive

Inputs ignored or only register at extremes.

    ๐Ÿ”„ Menus Scroll Alone

Home and game menus scroll with no touch.

    ๐ŸŽฎ Aim Pulls Off Target

Splatoon, Smash and shooter aim drifts away.

    ๐Ÿ“‰ Stick Won't Centre

Calibration test shows offset from centre.

    ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ Worn Cap or Wobble

Stick top loose, scratchy or worn smooth.

    ๐Ÿ” Dust or Grit Inside

Recurring drift even after cleaning attempts.

Triage โ€” Confirm It's the Stick, Not Calibration

Run these 4 checks before ordering. Two minutes saves a wasted return.

    Test 1 โ€” Update Joy-Con Firmware

Settings โ†’ Controllers and Sensors โ†’ Update. Rules out a software fault first.

Test 2 โ€” Calibrate the Stick

Calibrate Control Sticks. If drift returns within minutes, the module is worn.

Test 3 โ€” Stick Input Map

Test Input Devices โ†’ Test Control Sticks. Off-centre dot at rest confirms drift.

Test 4 โ€” Compressed Air Test

Short bursts under the stick skirt. Drift returning means the module needs swapping.

Why PULL-A โ€” Pulled From Working Joy-Con Units

PULL-A means this stick was carefully removed from a working Nintendo Switch Joy-Con. Grade A condition. Bench-tested for smooth rotation, full 360ยฐ travel and clean click before resale. Identical to the original factory part. Trusted by professional Switch repair techs across Australia over cheaper aftermarket modules with shorter lifespans.

    โญ Grade A Pulled Part

Pulled from a functional Joy-Con. Inspected and sorted before sale.

    ๐ŸŽฏ True OEM Specification

Original Nintendo footprint, ribbon and click feel. Not aftermarket plastic.

    ๐Ÿ”ฌ Pre-Tested Rotation

Smooth full 360ยฐ travel verified. No grit, scratch or stuck zones.

    ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Click Verified

L3 / R3 click switch checked. Tactile response intact.

    โšซ Black OEM Cap

Standard Joy-Con black thumbstick top. Invisible OEM-look repair.

    โ™ป๏ธ Sustainable Repair

Reuses functional Nintendo hardware instead of disposing of working parts.

Installation โ€” Pro Repair Strongly Advised

โš ๏ธ Repair part only. This is a bare stick module for installation by a qualified technician. Joy-Con ribbon cables are extremely fragile. One slip with a spudger ends the controller.

๐Ÿ”ง Specialist tools required. Tri-wing Y00, Phillips PH00, plastic spudger, fine tweezers, ESD mat. Local pickup and pro fitment available at Shop 3A, 152 Woogaroo St, Forest Lake QLD 4078.

    Step 1 โ€” Detach Joy-Con

Slide the Joy-Con off the console. Power off both before opening.

    Step 2 โ€” Remove Y00 Screws

Four tri-wing screws on the back shell. Lift the rear cover gently.

    Step 3 โ€” Disconnect Battery

Lift the battery flex with a spudger. Always isolate power first.

Step 4 โ€” Lift Stick Module

Release the stick ribbon. Remove the two PH00 screws holding the module.

    Step 5 โ€” Seat New PULL-A

Drop in the new module. Reseat the ribbon. Refit screws and battery.

    Step 6 โ€” Calibrate

Switch โ†’ Settings โ†’ Controllers and Sensors โ†’ Calibrate Control Sticks.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What does PULL-A grade mean for this thumbstick?+
PULL-A means the stick was pulled from a working Nintendo Switch Joy-Con. Grade A condition. Bench-tested for smooth rotation and clean click before sale. Not brand-new in retail packaging, but performs to original factory spec. Trusted by professional Switch repair techs across Australia.
Will this fix Joy-Con drift permanently?+
Yes. Joy-Con drift is caused by a worn analog stick module. Swapping the module removes the root cause. After install, recalibrate the stick via Switch settings. This is a real fix, not a workaround like deadzone tweaks or compressed-air cleaning.
Does this fit Switch OLED and Switch Lite as well?+
Yes. One stick module fits the original Switch (HAC-001 and HAC-001(-01)), Switch OLED (HEG-001) and Switch Lite (HDH-001). It does not fit the Nintendo Switch 2, which uses a redesigned Joy-Con design.
Does it fit the left and right Joy-Con?+
Yes. The same module fits both the left and right Joy-Con stick positions. The Switch Lite uses the same module too. Order one for a single drifting stick or two for both sides.
What tools do I need to install it?+
A Tri-wing Y00 driver for the back shell, a Phillips PH00 for internal screws, a plastic spudger to lift ribbon cables and fine tweezers. Tools are not included with the stick. Sold separately as repair tool kits.
Do I need to recalibrate after installing it?+
Yes. On the Switch, go to Settings โ†’ Controllers and Sensors โ†’ Calibrate Control Sticks. Follow the on-screen prompts. This step is essential for accurate input after a swap. Skipping it can cause minor directional offset.
What is the difference between the black and blue variants?+
Only the colour. Both are PULL-A grade, pulled from working Joy-Con units. Black is the original OEM colour and matches the standard Joy-Con look. Blue suits a custom blue shell mod. Performance and spec are identical.
Does this thumbstick come with a warranty?+
No. PULL-A hardware ships without an extended warranty. Dead-on-arrival cover applies for 7 days from delivery. If the stick is faulty out of the box, email or visit our Forest Lake store and we will assess and resolve. Australian Consumer Law protections also apply.
Can the Brisbane store install it for me?+
Yes. Drop in to our Forest Lake store at Shop 3A, 152 Woogaroo St, Forest Lake QLD 4078. Email ahead to confirm your Joy-Con model and book bench time for the install.
How is it packaged for shipping?+
The stick module ships in protective packaging to prevent damage during transit. Every order is tracked from dispatch to delivery. If the stick arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery for DOA assessment.
