    This BQ7 OLED assembly is moulded for the 2024 Motorola Edge 50 family — the standard Edge 50 (model XT2407) and the Edge 50 Pro (model XT2403). The Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Ultra and earlier Edge models use a different chassis and connector layout. Confirm your exact model under Settings before ordering.

    Installation Overview — 6 Steps

    📍 Walk-in installation available. Drop your phone in to our Forest Lake counter and our technicians will fit the OLED for you.

    Step 1 — Power Down & Prep

    Power off the phone. Set up a clean, well-lit, anti-static work area.

    Step 2 — Heat & Lift Old OLED

    Apply gentle heat around the perimeter. Use suction and a plastic pick to lift.

    Step 3 — Disconnect Battery First

    Always disconnect the battery flex before unplugging the OLED flex cables.

    Step 4 — Connect New OLED

    Carefully click the new BQ7 OLED flex cables into the board connectors.

    Step 5 — Test Before Sealing

    Power up and test display, touch, brightness and 144Hz before applying adhesive.

    Step 6 — Seal & Cure

    Apply replacement adhesive, press the OLED in place, clamp lightly for 24 hours.

    What does BQ7 grade mean?+
    BQ7 is a premium OEM-grade replacement display panel built to match the original Motorola pOLED specification. It uses real OLED material — not LCD with an OLED label. Colour, brightness, refresh rate and touch sensitivity all match the factory display.
    How do I know if I have an Edge 50 or Edge 50 Pro?+
    Open Settings → About phone → Model number. The standard Edge 50 is XT2407. The Edge 50 Pro is XT2403. The Pro has a higher 1.5K resolution and curved edges. Confirm the model before ordering — wrong-model parts cannot be returned once flex cables are connected.
    Can I install this myself?+
    If you have prior phone-repair experience, yes — allow 45-60 minutes and follow the steps above. The pOLED is fragile and the flex cables require care. If this is your first repair, we strongly recommend using our walk-in installation service at the Forest Lake counter to protect the warranty.
    Does the assembly come with a frame?+
    No — this is a without-frame OLED assembly. You re-use the original Motorola chassis and frame. Replacement adhesive is required to seal the OLED back into the chassis after install. Adhesive is sold separately.
    Is the touch responsive like the original?+
    Yes. The BQ7 panel uses a bonded 10-point multi-touch digitizer with palm rejection. Typing, scrolling and gaming all feel like the original Motorola panel. No noticeable lag or dead zones on a properly seated install.
    Will the in-display fingerprint sensor still work?+
    Yes. The fingerprint sensor is a separate module under the OLED — not built into the display panel. After replacing the OLED, you may need to re-enrol fingerprints in Settings, but the sensor itself continues to work normally.
    What is the warranty?+
    12 months from delivery, covering manufacturing defects on the BQ7 panel — dead pixels, lines, dead touch zones, brightness failure or backlight bleed not present at install. Drop damage, liquid damage and damage from incorrect installation are not covered. Australian Consumer Law also applies.
    How fast does it ship?+
    Orders ship 2-4 business days from our Forest Lake warehouse in Brisbane. Brisbane metro typically arrives 1-2 days after dispatch, Queensland 2-3 days, the rest of Australia 3-5 days. All orders are tracked.
    Can I return it if I order the wrong model?+
    Unused, unopened parts can be returned within 7 days. Once the protective film is removed or the flex cables are connected, the part is treated as installed and is no longer returnable. Always confirm your model number first — Edge 50 = XT2407, Edge 50 Pro = XT2403.
    Can I have it installed at your store?+
