What is Incell LCD technology?
Incell LCD puts the touch layer inside the screen. Old screens had touch on top. Incell builds it right into the LCD. This makes the screen thinner. It also makes it lighter. What is IC chip transfer?
IC chip transfer moves your old chip to the new screen. The chip sits on the flex cable. It stores key data for Face ID. It also stores True Tone data. If you don't transfer the chip, Face ID won't work. You may see a warning message too. The phone still works fine otherwise. But Face ID needs that chip. A tech uses heat to remove the chip. Then they solder it onto the new screen. This takes skill and special tools. Don't try this at home. One wrong move can ruin the chip. Then Face ID is gone for good. Can I install this screen myself?
We don't suggest DIY for this repair. The flex cables are very thin. One wrong move can tear them. Then the screen is dead. You also need to move the IC chip. That needs a heat gun and soldering iron. Most people don't have those tools. Even if you do, it takes practice. The Face ID camera is fragile too. It clips onto tiny connectors. Break one and Face ID stops working. If you're a trained tech, you can do this. But home repairs often go wrong. We see botched jobs every week. People come in with broken cables. Sometimes the phone is worse than before. Save yourself the stress. Let a pro handle it. The cost of repair is less than a new screen. Plus you get warranty on the work done.
What warranty do I get?

How bright is this screen?
This screen is bright enough for daily use. You can see it indoors no problem. Outside in shade works fine too. Direct sunlight is harder to see. That's true for most LCD screens. OLED handles sun better. But for normal use, this is good. The white balance looks natural. Colors are accurate enough. Videos look nice. Photos show up well. Text is sharp and clear. The touch layer responds fast. Swipes feel smooth. Taps register right away. For the price, display quality is solid. It's not Apple original spec. But it's close enough for most eyes. Will Face ID still work after install?
Face ID can work after install. But it needs the IC chip transfer. That chip holds your Face ID data. If you don't move the chip, Face ID stops. You'll see a warning in settings. The rest of the phone works fine. Just no face unlock. Some people don't mind that. They use passcode instead. But most want Face ID working. To keep it, you need a tech. They move the chip from old screen to new. It takes about 15 minutes extra. The chip is tiny and fragile. Heat is used to remove it. Then solder to attach it. Don't try this yourself. Is this screen original Apple quality?

Test the touch by swiping around. Tap each corner of the screen. Open the keyboard and tap each key. Run your finger across slowly. Make sure touch tracks smooth. Check for lines or spots on display.
