iPhone 13 Pro screen replacement requires heat to soften the display adhesive, careful cable handling, and correct waterproof resealing on reassembly. The phone is IP68 rated โ the adhesive seal must be replaced correctly to maintain water resistance. Do not skip the resealing step.

What makes a "Diagnosable" screen different from a standard aftermarket screen?+
Standard aftermarket screens trigger a persistent warning in iOS Settings โ "Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display." This message appears every time you check Settings โ General โ About. It cannot be dismissed permanently. It reduces resale value and causes customer complaints. The BQ7 Diagnosable screen includes a purpose-built IC chip that communicates directly with iOS. It provides the correct authentication data automatically when the screen is connected. The warning is suppressed from the first boot โ no external chip programmer, no diagnostic station, and no special tools are required. True Tone and Face ID are also preserved because the BQ7 chip handles the required iOS handshake internally.
Will Face ID and True Tone still work after fitting this screen?+
Yes. Both work normally. Face ID is controlled by the TrueDepth sensor module and front camera assembly โ not by the screen itself. Replacing the screen does not affect Face ID. True Tone, which adjusts white balance to match ambient lighting, is preserved because the BQ7 Diagnosable IC handles the relevant iOS communication. The True Tone toggle stays active in Settings โ Display & Brightness. No chip transfer, no soldering, and no calibration tools are required. Simply install the screen and both features work immediately.
Is this LCD or OLED? What is the visible difference?+
The BQ7 is Incell LCD. The original iPhone 13 Pro uses OLED. The main practical difference is black levels โ OLED pixels switch off completely for true black, while LCD uses a backlight so blacks appear dark grey. This is most noticeable when viewing dark content in a completely dark room, or in dark mode apps at night. In all normal daytime conditions โ web browsing, photography, social media, email โ most users find the difference minimal. The BQ7 has advantages over OLED: no burn-in risk from static UI elements, strong ~800 nit outdoor brightness, and P3 wide colour gamut for accurate photo and video viewing. Does the 120Hz ProMotion actually work โ or is it simulated?+
Genuine 120Hz โ not simulated. The BQ7 uses a real 120Hz LCD panel that receives and processes 120Hz signal from the iPhone 13 Pro's processor. ProMotion adapts dynamically between 10Hz and 120Hz based on content. Scrolling Safari, Instagram, and Messages runs at the full 120fps โ the smoothness difference compared to a 60Hz screen is immediately obvious. To verify, use the TestUFO Motion Test in Safari and compare side-by-side with a 60Hz device. Most aftermarket iPhone 13 Pro screens cap at 60Hz. Will this fit the iPhone 13 Pro Max?+
No. The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a larger 6.7-inch screen with different physical dimensions, a different connector position, and different camera cutout geometry. This assembly fits the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro only. It also will not fit the standard iPhone 13 or 13 Mini โ different camera module layout and connector. What warranty is included with the screen?+
The BQ7 screen carries a 90-day manufacturer warranty covering dead pixels, touch failures, backlight failures, and connector defects under normal use. Warranty excludes physical damage, water ingress after installation, or damage caused by incorrect installation. JPC Mobile professional installations include a 12-month parts and labor service warranty โ if a fault develops, we replace the screen and reinstall at no charge. Will the phone still be water resistant after screen replacement?+
The iPhone 13 Pro is IP68 rated from the factory using precisely applied adhesive seals. Any screen replacement breaks the original seal. Water resistance can be substantially restored with quality replacement adhesive applied correctly during reassembly โ cleaning the frame thoroughly, aligning the adhesive tape precisely, and applying firm even pressure.
