    Master-Level Micro-Soldering Repair (Not Plug-and-Play)

    Step 1 · Open the Xbox

    Use Torx drivers to remove the back vent and outer shell. Slow and careful.

    Step 2 · Discharge and ESD

    Ground yourself with an ESD wrist strap. Discharge any static off the board.

    Step 3 · Hot Air Removal

    Set the hot air station to safe reflow temperature. Slowly lift the broken port.

    Step 4 · Clean the Pads

    No. The Xbox Series S has a different chassis layout. It uses a different HDMI port footprint. Buy the Xbox Series S HDMI port instead. Wrong console means the part will not fit the board.
    Does this fit older Xbox One consoles?+
    No. Older Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles use HDMI 2.0. The connector pin layout and pitch are different. The 4K 120Hz HDMI 2.1 port will not fit. Use the correct HDMI 2.0 part for an Xbox One repair.
    Can I install this myself?+
    Only if you are a master-level microsolder tech. The repair needs hot air rework and fine-tip soldering. A microscope is strongly recommended for clean joints. Bench time is 1 to 2 hours.
