Before You Order — Quick Triage Check
A faulty I/O board is the most common port issue. Confirm it is the board and not the cable, brick or logic board.
Borrow another working USB-C charge cable.
Use a 30W or higher Apple-spec brick.
If only one side fails, that I/O board is the fault.
Apple Silicon resets via a full shutdown and 30-second wait.
Look for bent pins, burn marks or debris.
Thunderbolt section shows the bus only when a port works.

Installation — Pro Repair Recommended
⚠️ Disconnect the battery before any other connector. A live logic board will short the new I/O board.
Shut down. Unplug the charger.
Use a P5 pentalobe driver for the case screws.
Lift the battery flex from the logic board first.
Pop the connector and remove the board screws.
Seat into the chassis. Re-fit the screws by hand first.
Reconnect battery. Plug in charger. Confirm port works.
