Check Your PS5 Model Before Ordering

ADP-400DR fits the original PS5 CFI-10xx (launch 2020) and CFI-11xx (2021 revision) only. Both Disc Edition and Digital Edition are supported on these generations.

It does not fit the 2022 PS5 CFI-12xx revision, which uses Delta ADP-400FR.

It does not fit the PS5 Slim CFI-20xx or PS5 Pro CFI-70xx. Both newer consoles use a different PSU model.

Find your model number printed on the rear sticker of the console. Look for the prefix CFI-10 or CFI-11 to confirm fitment.

    PS5 CFI-12xx (use ADP-400FR) PS5 Slim CFI-20xx (different PSU) PS5 Pro CFI-70xx (use ADP-420GR) PS4 / PS4 Pro / PS4 Slim Xbox Series X / Series S

    Install Notes For Best Result

Unplug the console and discharge for 30 minutes before opening. Remove the side panel and lift out the SSD cover. Pop off the top shell and unclip the system fan. Lift the metal shroud to expose the PSU bay. Disconnect the spade terminal and the small data flex.

Drop the new ADP-400DR into the bay, reconnect both leads and refit the shroud. Reverse all steps and test power-on at the wall.

    PS5 PSU Replacement FAQ

    Which PS5 models does ADP-400DR fit?+

    Fits the original PS5 CFI-10xx and CFI-11xx generations. Confirmed model numbers include CFI-1000, 1002, 1015, 1016, 1018, 1100, 1102, 1115 and 1116. Both Disc and Digital editions are supported.

How do I find my PS5 CFI model number?+

Look on the rear label of the console near the serial number. The format is CFI followed by four digits and a letter. Look for the prefix CFI-10 or CFI-11 to confirm fitment.

Is PA-1401-JT20 the same unit as ADP-400DR?+

Yes. Both part numbers refer to the exact same physical PSU. Sony documents it as PA-1401-JT20. Delta marks it as ADP-400DR. Either label is correct.

    Can I use ADP-400ER instead of ADP-400DR?+

Yes. ADP-400ER and ADP-400DR are cross-compatible on CFI-10xx and CFI-11xx consoles. Same form factor, same connector and same output rating. Either part will boot the console.

Does this PSU need soldering to install?+

No. The PS5 PSU uses spade terminal connectors and a flex cable. The unit drops into the chassis bay and clips into place. No soldering or thermal pads required.

Will this fix the PS5 blue light of death?+

A failed PSU is the most common cause of BLOD on the PS5. Swap the PSU first as the cheapest fix. If BLOD persists, the next suspect is the APU or the SSD slot.

Is this PSU compatible with Australian 240V mains?+

Yes. The ADP-400DR runs on universal 100V to 240V mains at 50 or 60 hertz. Australian 200 to 240V is the native input mode. Use the standard AU IEC C7 power cord.

Why does my PS5 shut down during gaming?+

A PSU that cannot hold 12V under heavy GPU load triggers the over-current protection. The console drops out as a safety response. A fresh PSU restores stable voltage.

What does the 12-month warranty cover?+

Covers manufacturing faults for 12 months from dispatch. Excludes physical damage, surge damage from non-protected mains, and water exposure. Vendor-backed by Delta Electronics.

What tools do I need to swap the PSU?+

Phillips PH1 driver, T8 Torx for shroud screws and a plastic spudger. A pair of long tweezers helps with the data flex. Anti-static wrist strap recommended.
