Orders ship in 2-4 business days from Brisbane. Tracked dispatch on every order. Each panel is bench-tested for pixels, touch, brightness and 120Hz response. Foam-protected dispatch box.

Diagnosable Variant — No IC Transfer, No Programmer, Plug-And-Play

This is the Diagnosable variant of the iPhone 14 Pro Max BQ7 Soft OLED. The display ships pre-flashed with valid panel calibration data. The technician does not need to lift, microsolder or transfer the original display IC chip. The screen also configures True Tone through Apple's own diagnostic tools — no JC, i2C or JCID programmer required. Saves around 20 minutes per job and removes the cost of a programmer module from the bench.

    No Microsoldering Required

No hot-air station, no microscope and no flux work needed for the screen swap. The display IC chip stays on this new assembly — nothing to lift from the original.

    No External Programmer

No JC, i2C or JCID programmer module required to enable True Tone. Configure True Tone through Apple's own diagnostic tools after install. Saves the tooling cost.

    Face ID Sensor Flex Pre-Installed

Proximity and ambient light sensor flex already mounted on the assembly. Transfer earpiece, dot projector and TrueDepth camera from the original chassis — Face ID returns to full function.

    True Tone & Auto-Brightness

Both functions return after install once True Tone is enabled through Apple's diagnostic system. Auto-brightness behaves correctly straight away.

Why BQ7 Soft OLED Beats Cheap Aftermarket

Most aftermarket iPhone 14 Pro Max screens are bottom-bin hard OLED panels with washed colour, weak peak brightness, ghost touch, brittle substrate that cracks during install and a fake 60Hz refresh rate dressed up as ProMotion. BQ7 sits at the top of the soft OLED aftermarket grade ladder. The result looks and feels close to OEM Apple OLED. Self-emissive deep blacks. Vivid P3 colour. Full 120Hz LTPO ProMotion. 1600-nit peak HDR brightness.

    Self-Emissive Deep Blacks

Each OLED pixel emits its own light. Black pixels switch off completely. True blacks, infinite contrast. Matches the original Apple Super Retina XDR depth.

    Full 120Hz LTPO ProMotion

Genuine 120Hz LTPO refresh, not a 60Hz fake. Adaptive 1-120Hz scrolling, smooth gaming and responsive touch. Always-On Display also works.

P3 Wide Colour & HDR Peaks

Full P3 wide colour gamut. 1000 nits typical, 1600 nits peak HDR, 2000 nits outdoor peak. HDR10 and Dolby Vision content renders with vivid highlights.

    ProMotion-Grade Digitiser

Capacitive multi-touch glass digitiser tuned for the 120Hz refresh. Smooth response across the panel. No dead zones, no ghost touch.

    Face ID Compatible

Dynamic Island cutout matches OEM exactly. Proximity sensor flex pre-installed. Transfer the original earpiece and TrueDepth array from the chassis — Face ID returns to full function.

    12-Month Warranty

Vendor-confirmed 12-month replacement warranty. Covers manufacturing defects on the panel and digitiser. Excludes physical damage.

iPhone 14 Pro Max Screen Problems This Soft OLED Fixes

Spotting any of these issues on your iPhone 14 Pro Max? Time to swap the display assembly. This BQ7 Diagnosable Soft OLED resolves all of these faults.

    Cracked or shattered glass

Spider-web or shattered glass face. Touch may still work but glass shards risk fingers.

    Unresponsive or ghost touch

Touch ignores input or registers ghost taps with no finger present. Digitiser layer is damaged.

    Black or blank screen

Display will not light up. Phone still rings and vibrates. Panel or driver IC has failed.

    Dead pixels or vertical lines

Black dots, vertical lines or coloured bars on the panel. Common after a hard drop on concrete.

    Dynamic Island flicker or burn-in

Faint static UI elements (Dynamic Island, status bar, keyboard) ghosted on the original OLED after long use. Fresh OLED panel resets the burn clock.

Green tint, pink tint or colour cast

Whole panel skewed green, pink or yellow after a drop or moisture intrusion. OLED driver IC or panel layer damaged. Swap restores accurate colour.

    BQ7 Diagnosable Soft OLED — Built-In Features

    Top BQ7 Aftermarket Grade

Sits at the top of the soft OLED aftermarket ladder. Tightest pixel tolerances, deepest blacks, full 120Hz LTPO ProMotion and the highest peak HDR brightness in this tier.

    Self-Emissive Soft OLED

Flexible plastic OLED substrate. Each pixel lights itself. True blacks, infinite contrast, vivid HDR colour. Same panel technology Apple uses.

    120Hz LTPO ProMotion

Adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. Smooth scrolling, responsive gaming and full Always-On Display support. Not a 60Hz fake dressed up as ProMotion.

    Diagnosable — Apple Tools Compatible

Reads serial, configures True Tone and runs Apple diagnostics directly. No JC, i2C or JCID programmer module required.

    Native 2796 × 1290 @ 460 PPI

Matches OEM iPhone 14 Pro Max resolution exactly. iOS renders at native pixel density. Razor-sharp text and icons. No scaling artefacts.

    Dynamic Island Cutout

Pixel-perfect Dynamic Island cutout for the TrueDepth camera array. Notification animations, Live Activities and Face ID all work after sensor flex transfer.

    Face ID Sensor Flex Pre-Installed

Proximity and ambient light sensor flex already mounted. Saves time during install. Transfer the earpiece and TrueDepth modules from the original chassis only.

    Pre-Installed Back Plate

Steel back plate already mounted on the assembly. No extra screws or shields to transfer.

    Pre-Tested Before Dispatch

Every panel is tested before dispatch. Pixels checked, touch swept, 120Hz response verified. No dead-on-arrival units.

Soft OLED vs Hard OLED — The Real Difference

Both panel types output OLED self-emissive pixels with deep blacks. The difference is the substrate underneath. Cheap aftermarket sellers swap one for the other and call them equal. They are not. This BQ7 is genuine soft OLED — the same flexible plastic substrate Apple ships from the factory on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Soft OLED Wins — Flexible Plastic

Bends slightly under install pressure without cracking. Far less likely to fail during the screen swap. Hard OLED uses rigid glass and is brittle in the technician's hands.

Soft OLED Wins — Thinner Profile

Slimmer panel stack. Sits flush against the iPhone 14 Pro Max chassis. Hard OLED is usually thicker and can press against internal flexes.

Soft OLED Wins — OEM Match

Same flexible substrate technology Apple uses on the factory iPhone 14 Pro Max. Identical look-and-feel after install. Customer cannot tell the difference.

Hard OLED Loses — Cracks Under Pressure

Rigid glass substrate. Snaps if bent during install or sealed without perfect alignment. Higher install scrap rate, especially on first-time fitters.

Hard OLED Loses — Often Fakes 120Hz

Many hard OLED replacements ship a 60Hz panel and label it ProMotion. This BQ7 carries genuine 120Hz LTPO refresh and full Always-On Display support — verifiable in iOS settings.

Honest Note — OLED PWM Disclosure

All OLED panels (factory and aftermarket) use low-frequency PWM dimming below 50 percent brightness. This is inherent to OLED — not a fault of this panel. Honest disclosure.

    Plug-And-Play Install — 7 Steps

STEP 1 — Power Off And Remove Pentalobes

Power off the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Remove the two P2 pentalobe screws beside the Lightning port.

STEP 2 — Heat And Open

Soften the adhesive with a heat pad. Use a suction cup and opening pick from the right side. Open the screen like a book.

STEP 3 — Disconnect Battery And Display Flex

Remove the metal cover plates. Disconnect the battery first. Then disconnect the three display flex connectors.

STEP 4 — Transfer Earpiece & TrueDepth Array

Carefully transfer the earpiece speaker and the TrueDepth camera array (dot projector, infrared camera, flood illuminator) onto the new BQ7 assembly. The proximity sensor flex is already pre-installed.

STEP 5 — Reconnect And Power On

Reconnect the three display flex connectors and battery. Power on. Verify display, touch, 120Hz scrolling, Always-On Display, Face ID and earpiece.

STEP 6 — Configure True Tone Through Apple Diagnostics

Run Apple's diagnostic tools to enable True Tone on the new screen. No JC, i2C or JCID programmer required for this Diagnosable variant.

STEP 7 — Apply Adhesive And Close

Apply fresh waterproof adhesive strips. Press the screen home. Refit the pentalobe screws. Done.

Test first. Always verify the display, 120Hz refresh, Face ID and True Tone work before reapplying adhesive. Discovering a fault after sealing means re-opening the phone.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Diagnosable" mean and why does it matter? +

Diagnosable means the display IC chip on this assembly is already pre-flashed with valid panel calibration data. The technician does not need to lift, microsolder or transfer the original IC chip from the broken screen. The screen is also Apple-tools compatible — True Tone is configured through Apple's own diagnostic system, not through a JC, i2C or JCID programmer.

For the bench, that means no hot-air station and no external programmer module. Saves around 20 minutes per job, removes the cost of a programmer from the bench and opens the install path to skilled DIY repairers without microsoldering gear.

Do I need to transfer the IC chip from my broken screen? +

No. This is the Diagnosable variant. The display IC chip is pre-flashed at the factory with valid panel calibration data. Nothing needs to be lifted from the original broken screen.

No hot-air station, no microscope and no flux work needed for the screen swap itself. Plug-and-play install once the earpiece and TrueDepth array are transferred from the original chassis.

Do I need a JC, i2C or JCID programmer for True Tone? +

No. True Tone configures through Apple's own diagnostic tools after install. No external programmer module is required. Saves the cost of a JC, i2C or JCID add-on board and removes one whole step from the install workflow.

Auto-brightness also works correctly straight after install. The pre-flashed IC chip carries the calibration data iOS reads on every boot.

Will Face ID work on the iPhone 14 Pro Max after I install this screen? +

Yes. The proximity and ambient light sensor flex is pre-installed on this BQ7 assembly. The Face ID dot projector, infrared camera and flood illuminator (the TrueDepth array) live in the original phone — carefully transfer them along with the earpiece onto the new assembly.

Reconnect all three display flex connectors and Face ID returns to full function. If Face ID fails, the cause is almost always a damaged TrueDepth flex or a partly seated connector — not the screen itself.

    Is this a real 120Hz ProMotion panel or a fake 60Hz? +

Genuine 120Hz LTPO ProMotion. Adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. Always-On Display works because the LTPO panel can drop to 1Hz when idle. Verifiable in iOS settings after install.

Many cheap aftermarket sellers ship a 60Hz panel and label it ProMotion. This BQ7 is the real thing — same flexible LTPO substrate technology Apple ships on the OEM iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Will this screen fit iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro or 13 Pro Max? +

No. iPhone 14 Pro Max is the only model in this generation with a 6.7-inch Dynamic Island ProMotion panel. iPhone 14 and 14 Plus use a notch and 60Hz. iPhone 14 Pro is 6.1-inch. iPhone 13 Pro Max is 6.7-inch but uses a notch and a different chassis.

iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7″) only. Verify your model number under Settings, General, About, Model Number. Compatible: A2894, A2651, A2893, A2895, A2896.

Is this a Lightning or USB-C iPhone screen? +

Lightning. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is a Lightning-port phone. The first Pro Max model with USB-C is the iPhone 15 Pro Max — it uses a different chassis and screen entirely.

Confirm Settings, General, About, Model Number first. Australian iPhone 14 Pro Max almost always shows A2894 and uses the Lightning port.

Does this screen have OLED PWM flicker? (Honest disclosure) +

Yes — like every OLED panel (factory and aftermarket), low-frequency PWM dimming kicks in below roughly 50 percent brightness. This is inherent to OLED technology, not a defect of this BQ7 panel.

If you have severe PWM sensitivity (eye strain, headaches, migraines), an aftermarket Incell LCD assembly is the steady-backlight alternative. Honest disclosure.

What does the 12-month warranty cover? +

Covered: dead pixels, dead lines, ghost touches, touch failure, OLED panel failing to turn on, 120Hz refresh failure, green tint or pink tint not caused by physical damage. 12 months from purchase date.

Not covered: physical damage (cracks, drops, water), damage from incorrect installation, cosmetic issues that do not affect function. Always test the screen before applying adhesive. Australian Consumer Law protections also apply.

How fast does this ship across Australia? +

Dispatch is 2-4 business days from our Forest Lake counter. Brisbane Metro receives the parcel in 1-2 business days after dispatch. Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast in 2-3 business days. Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Darwin in 3-5 business days. Tracked dispatch on every order.
