    Diagnostic Guide - Digitizer or Full LCD?

    Before you order, check the issue. Is the touch glass broken or the display itself failed? The wrong choice costs you a second order.

    Choose THIS digitizer when:

    The glass is cracked. Touch is unresponsive. Ghost touches appear. The display below still shows a clear image with no lines or dead pixels.

    Don't use this digitizer when:

    The display shows lines, black spots, bleeding, white-out or backlight failure. In those cases the LCD is damaged too. Order our full BQ7 LCD instead.

    Cost-saving tip: Digitizer-only repair beats a full LCD assembly. Save 40-60% when the display is undamaged.

    Will this single digitizer really fit all three iPad generations?+

    Yes. Apple kept the iPad 10.2-inch panel identical from 7th gen to 9th gen. The connector, IC pinout, frame and Home Button cutout are shared.

    Do I need to solder anything during install?+

    No. The IC chip is factory-bonded to the digitizer flex. Install is mechanical only. Peel the broken glass, transfer the Home Button, lay fresh adhesive, connect the flex.

    Will Touch ID still work after I install this?+

    Yes, but you must transfer the original Home Button to the new digitizer. Touch ID pairs with the Secure Enclave inside the iPad, not with the glass.

    Is the LCD included with this digitizer?+

    No. This is the touch glass digitizer with pre-bonded IC connector only. The LCD is a separate part underneath. Order our full BQ7 LCD if needed.

    How do I check my iPad's A-number before ordering?+

    Look on the back of the iPad in fine print. Or open Settings, General, About, Model Number. If your A-number is in our list above, this digitizer fits.

    What about the iPad 10th gen 10.9-inch?+

    Different product. The iPad 10th gen 2022 uses a 10.9-inch panel with USB-C and landscape camera. Models A2696, A2757, A2777. This 10.2-inch part will not fit.

    Can I install this myself or use a workshop?+

    Confident DIYers can do it. You need a heat pad, plastic spudger, suction cup and fresh adhesive. Beginners should book a workshop install. The fragile LCD below cracks easily.

    What does the 12-month warranty cover?+

    Covers manufacturing defects. Dead touch zones from the factory. IC failure not caused by handling. Out-of-spec optical defects. It does not cover install damage. Australian Consumer Law rights apply alongside.
