Power off. Remove the two P2 pentalobe screws beside the USB-C port.

Soften the adhesive with a heat pad. Use a suction cup and opening pick from the right side. Avoid the Camera Control flex.

Remove the metal cover plates. Disconnect battery first. Then disconnect the display flex connectors.

Move the earpiece speaker, proximity sensor and front camera flex across to the new screen. No IC chip transfer needed.

Connect the diagnosable assembly. Reconnect the battery. The onboard chip handles display recognition.

Power on. Copy True Tone with a programmer if needed. Test display, touch, Face ID and Camera Control before sealing.

Apply fresh waterproof adhesive strips. Press the screen home. Refit pentalobe screws. Done.
