    Step 1 — Check Your Display Type

    Samsung changed the S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra to flat displays. If you have an S21/S22/S23 Ultra, your display curves at the edges and needs UV liquid glue glass. For S24 or S25 series, standard 2.5D glass is correct.

    Step 2 — Consider Privacy Needs

    If you regularly use your phone in public, on public transport, or handle sensitive information, a privacy screen protector restricts viewing angles to 180°. Others beside you see only a dark screen.

    Step 3 — Don't Forget the Cameras

    The S Series camera islands are prominent and vulnerable. A camera lens protector adds 9H glass over each lens without reducing image quality — a worthwhile extra that most people overlook.

    Step 4 — Check Fingerprint Sensor

    S21–S23 Ultra use an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. UV liquid glue glass is the only type that maintains a solid bond over the sensor area. Air gaps from edge-bond glass cause fingerprint read failures.

    Does the S24 Ultra need UV glass or standard glass?
    Standard 2.5D tempered glass. Samsung changed the S24 Ultra to a flat Gorilla Glass Armor display — a major design shift from the S23 Ultra's curved glass. Standard 9H flat glass applies cleanly with no lifting at the edges and works perfectly with the S24 Ultra's optical fingerprint sensor.
    Why can't I use regular tempered glass on the S21/S22/S23 Ultra?
    The S21/S22/S23 Ultra have aggressively curved displays. Regular tempered glass is flat — it sticks at the centre but lifts off the curved edges. Those gaps look bad, catch on your thumb, and create an air pocket over the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that causes read failures. UV liquid glue floods the curved surface completely, forming a solid optical bond that follows the curve exactly.
    Will a screen protector affect my Samsung fingerprint sensor?
    For flat-display models (S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra), standard tempered glass works fine with the in-display optical fingerprint sensor. For curved models (S21/S22/S23 Ultra), you must use UV liquid glue glass — the full bond eliminates the air gap that blocks the ultrasonic sensor. Using wrong glass on a curved Ultra will cause fingerprint failures.
    What is Kinglas CSG High-Aluminum glass?
    Kinglas uses CSG (China Safety Glass) High-Aluminum tempered glass — a premium glass with elevated aluminium oxide content that makes it harder and more chemically stable than standard soda-lime glass. Rated 9H on the pencil hardness scale, it resists scratching from keys, coins and most everyday objects while remaining optically clear at ≥92% light transmission.
    Do camera lens protectors reduce photo quality?
    No — when correctly installed. At 0.33mm and ≥92% transmission, the optical clarity is effectively unchanged. The S Series camera systems — including the 108MP and 200MP sensors — produce the same image quality with lens protectors fitted. The bigger risk is NOT protecting the lenses: a single scratch on a camera lens cannot be polished out and directly affects every photo you take.
