    Check Your PS5 Model Before Ordering

    ADP-400FR fits the PS5 CFI-12xx Disc Edition only. The full model list is CFI-1202, CFI-1215, CFI-1216 and CFI-1218.

    It does not fit CFI-10xx or CFI-11xx, which require ADP-400DR. PS5 Slim CFI-20xx requires ADP-400GR. PS5 Pro CFI-70xx requires ADP-420GR.

    The mains plug orientation and PCB cut-out are physically different across PS5 generations.

    Find your model number printed on the rear sticker of the console. Look for the prefix CFI-12 to confirm fitment.

    ADP-400FR is built only for the PS5 CFI-12xx Disc Edition. Below are the wrong-generation consoles it will not fit.

    Install Notes For Best Result

    Unplug the console and discharge for 30 minutes before opening. Remove the side panel and lift out the SSD cover. Pop off the top shell and unclip the system fan. Lift the metal shroud to expose the PSU bay. Disconnect the spade terminal and the small data flex.

    Drop the new ADP-400FR into the bay, reconnect both leads and refit the shroud. Reverse all steps and test power-on at the wall.

    Which PS5 models does ADP-400FR fit?+

    Fits the PS5 CFI-12xx Disc Edition only. Confirmed model numbers are CFI-1202, CFI-1215, CFI-1216 and CFI-1218. Earlier and later PS5 generations use a different PSU.

    How do I find my PS5 CFI model number?+

    Look on the rear label of the console near the serial number. The format is CFI followed by four digits and a letter. Look for the prefix CFI-12 to confirm fitment.

    Is PA-1401-JT3 the same unit as ADP-400FR?+

    Yes. Both part numbers refer to the exact same physical PSU. Sony documents it as PA-1401-JT3. Delta marks it as ADP-400FR. Either label is correct.

    Does this PSU need soldering to install?+

    No. The PS5 PSU uses spade terminal connectors and a flex cable. The unit drops into the chassis bay and clips into place. No soldering or thermal pads required.

    Will this fix the PS5 blue light of death?+

    A failed PSU is the most common cause of BLOD on the PS5. Swap the PSU first as the cheapest fix. If BLOD persists, the next suspect is the APU or the SSD slot.

    Is this PSU compatible with Australian 240V mains?+

    Yes. The ADP-400FR runs on universal 100V to 240V mains at 50 or 60 hertz. Australian 200 to 240V is the native input mode. Use the standard AU IEC C7 power cord.

    Why does my PS5 shut down during gaming?+

    A PSU that cannot hold 12V under heavy GPU load triggers the over-current protection. The console drops out as a safety response. A fresh PSU restores stable voltage.
