🔧 Installation Overview
Mid-difficulty repair. The camera glass sits in a recess on the back of the phone. The job needs gentle heat, clean tweezers and dust-free conditions to avoid trapping debris under the new glass.
1️⃣ Power Down + Mask the Lenses
Turn the phone off. Cover the camera sensors below the glass with painter's tape to keep dust and shards out.
2️⃣ Apply Gentle Heat
Warm the camera bump area to soften the original adhesive. Keep heat moving — don't bake the camera module.
3️⃣ Remove Broken Glass
Pry the cracked glass out with a thin plastic tool. Vacuum every shard. Take your time — sharp shards near sensors are a real risk.
4️⃣ Clean the Recess
Wipe out old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free swab. Confirm the recess is dust-free before fitting the new glass.
5️⃣ Apply Adhesive + New Glass
Peel the included adhesive sticker, fit it into the recess. Drop the new glass in with tweezers. Press evenly with a soft cloth.
6️⃣ Test Photos Before Sealing
Power on. Open the Camera app. Shoot a test photo on every lens. Check for trapped dust or fingerprints under the glass.
⚠️ Highly recommended: Have a professional fit this part in a dust-controlled workspace. Trapped dust under the new glass means doing the whole job again. Walk-in install available at our Forest Lake counter.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fix my blurry photos?+
Yes — if the blur is caused by cracked or scratched lens glass. Damaged glass scatters light before it reaches the sensor, making every photo soft. A fresh lens cover restores full optical clarity. If the blur is autofocus-related (jittering preview, hunting focus) the camera module itself has failed and a glass swap won't help.
Is this just the glass or the whole camera?+
This is the protective lens glass cover only — not the camera module. The module beneath the glass is unchanged. This part is the right choice when the camera still focuses and shoots, but the glass over it is cracked, scratched or chipped.
Does it fit both 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max?+
Yes. Apple uses the same triple-camera lens layout and glass dimensions across both the iPhone 14 Pro and the 14 Pro Max. This single replacement glass fits all 8 model numbers — A2650, A2889, A2890, A2892 (14 Pro) and A2651, A2893, A2894, A2895 (14 Pro Max).
Will it fit my iPhone 14, 13 Pro, or 15 Pro?+
No. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus use a smaller dual-camera bump. The 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max have different lens spacing. The 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max use a newer titanium frame and updated lens layout. Each generation uses its own dedicated camera glass — confirm your A-number under Settings before ordering.
Does it come with adhesive?+
Yes. A pre-cut adhesive sticker shaped to the lens recess is included. Peel the backing, place it in the camera bump recess, then drop the new glass on top. No glue dispenser, no manual cutting needed.
Can I install it myself?+
Mid-difficulty. The biggest risks are dropping shards into the camera lenses and trapping dust under the new glass. A confident DIY repairer with heat, tweezers, isopropyl alcohol, lint-free swabs and a clean workspace can do it in around 30 minutes. New repairers — book a workshop install.
Does it come with a warranty?+
Replacement lens glass is sold without a long-term warranty. We cover dead-on-arrival faults for 7 days from delivery — for example a chipped piece in the bag or a glass that arrives cracked. Once installed, any drop or impact damage isn't covered.
Will the rear camera still focus and zoom after the swap?+
Yes. The autofocus motor and optical zoom live inside the camera module — under the glass. Swapping the cover glass does not touch the camera electronics, so all features (Night mode, ProRAW, 3x optical zoom, Cinematic mode) keep working as before.
